(Portland, OR) Best Bout Beatdown 14 - August 4th

BEST BOUT BEATDOWN 14 LANDS ON AUGUST 4th, 2012!

Best Bout Beatdown is Portland's premiere Fighting Game Tournament Series!

Best Bout Beatdown 13 in June saw an awesome turnout for all games and a field that stretched from Central Oregon up to Seattle, Washington!

Final Showdown had a wide field with Chanchai (Portland) winning the tournament, Afro-Cole (Seattle) taking second, Yangsing (Vancouver, WA) third, and R_Panda (Portland) fourth!

The entire field (and many more regional players) have gotten stronger and a lot of the Northwest's Virtua Fighters are ready to bring their summer game on and also prepare for a possibly epic battle at the End of Summer tournament in September!

This event is planned to have a Livestream, details will be posted closer to the event day!

Cash for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each tournament

Format?
Standard Double Elimination Format.
The grand finals will be best 3 out of 5. All other matches will be best 2 out of 3 games. Marvel is all 3/5 games.

 

I'm thinking R_Panda wins this one.

I'm SUPER debating making the trip for this. I'll have to talk to Ethan and see if he can put me up for the weekend and if so, I'll try to make it out, even if only to get more offline VF exposure.

 

You can't go AJS?!?! I thought this one was gonna be the first Portland tourney you could go to? Oh no well, guess I have to take it now. No friggin' Jacky standing in my way, I can deal with the others lol.

Looks to be a huge turnout! I'm very excited to see most of the Oregon and southern WA scene together at one time. Should be a great time!

 

Congratulations to R_Panda! I heard he won Best Bout Beatdown 14!

I haven't heard the full results yet and a stream did not happen, however, I hear that Panda archived the finals and Grand Finals.

My best guess for 2nd place would be Yangsing since my prediction for grand finals was R_Panda vs. Yangsing. We'll see what actually happened!

I've also heard that BBB15 will be the 8th (with Seattle's Saturday Slugfest III on the 15th and End of Summer on the 22nd-23rd)!
