This game is really fun, definately as worthy followup to the previous titles in the series. The wallrunning and all that stuff that makes the series to unique and fun is better then ever, and the controls are simple and streamlined.

You cant die in the game, at all. not even during bossfights, this is to put the focus on the actual core gameplay. It has some of the best graphics I've seen and features a wicked cell shading/3d style, I absolutely recommend this game.

I really hate this game, art direction and all. The art style was better suited for a new I.P. then a Prince Of Persia game. I like the Animated look they went with, but the Final Fantasy character design doesn't fit in a Prince of Persia game, IMO. As for gameplay, this game is to easy, even the platforming. The only thing I found challenging was trying to get the glowing orbs...And that's it. The one on one combat is "Meh" the game feels like is on automatic(The grapple hooks for instance)Beautiful looking game, but this is not the Prince of Persia I know. And it's a shame, because this Gen hasn't provided me with a decent amount of platformers...At least I got Mario Galaxy.

This game has far better platforming then ninja gaiden IMO.... its just so smooth and seamless. Your magic little helper ellika basically hauls your ass up if you fall, and pulls you out of bubbling pools of corruption. I guess it ruins the challenge of bossfights a bit...

but their still pretty challenging and epic (you have to get the block/deflection timing just right and input quick button presses to escape occasionally, if you fail the enemy gains health while ellika heals you)
Theres four different powers you have to activate at the temple which allow you to reach areas previously inacessible... one of them lets you fly.. another lets you run on walls etc.

The whole thing looks like some kind of crazy pastel painted dream.. gotta see it to believe it.

They went with something new and different for this game and I gotta say I really enjoy it.... your right when you say that it is all a bit automatic, but it stills requires timing and patience. I really liked how it was open world too, well as open world as a 3d platformer can be I suppose. Final fantasy character design? this comment confused me. The dude has a arabic headwrap thing on and a persian scimitar. doesnt look like anything i've ever seen in FF. Besides you can unlock skins of the classic prince as well as Altair from asassins creed.

What I meant by the Final Fantasy comment is, it looks like something Testuya Nomura would design. Even the hair has the anime look. Look at FFXII to see what I mean, or any of his designs. The game is not flaw at all, it's just not what expected out of a Prince Of Persia game. I can't see myself paying 60$ for this. Your clearly enjoying it, and that's what's matter. You can't put a price on something you enjoy.

The problem with the new game is that there is too much platforming. Sands of time had a nice blend of platforming, combat (even though the combat wasn't very good) and puzzle solving.

In the new game the first fight is exactly like all the others. (4 years and they still can't make combat exciting enough.)

Granted I've only got to the second world but it doesn't feel very challenging at all.

I do like the presentation and the way it presents the story but it seems it was made for strictly new comers to the series. Surprised this isn't on the Wii really

Not being able to die in this game is just a streamlined way to avoid annoying loadscreens and checkpoints.

It's a good game guys, calm down. Jide is right about it not having enough puzzles though, i've nearly done the game and I only remember two puzzles... at least one of them took me a while.

It's not as good as Sands of Time but it's definitely better than Warrior Within and the other p00p ones.

IMO its pretty much a platformer in the purest sense.... it may not be overly challenging but its one hell of a fun ride. And Im so glad this game isnt on the wii, the wii could not do it justice at all.

i haven't played it, but...i am glad to hear someone giving mario galaxy some love. The game was incredible, and as a platformer sets the gold standard. IMO, no game will every be as head and shoulders above it's genre as mario 64 (that game was god tier when it came out) but mario galaxy certainly showed us what the wii can do. Unfortunately, the wii just doesn't hold up for hardcore gamers. Honestly, what if mario galaxy was an xbox 360, or ps3 title!!!! Still, it was an awesome game, and i look forward to monster hunter 3--i'm sad it got nerfed to wii though. I may have bought a ps3 for that one.

yeah I finished it last night... why'd you think the last hour sucked? I was too busy trying not to get swallowed by an ocean of black goo to worry about it sucking.
