Printing stuff

    Is there a trick to printing, because I wanted to print some Lei Fei info from a thread, but when I print preview it, it looks like crap and all the stuff is cut off. Is there a trick to avoid this?

    When viewing a post you'll see a Print Thread link in the footer section of the page. Clicking on that opens up the thread in a new window which is print friendly.

    Have you tried printing from that?

    Yeah that's where I run into the problem because some of the text is cut off. Is there a way to do with it without the avatar of the thread poster? I think then it would fit nicely.

    Sure if you try to print Csnape's Lei Fei stuff.

    When I get to the print screen and do a print preview, in Internet Explorer, the last two words are cut off. I changed it horizontal and it printed ok with a lot of space to spare.

    Which makes me curious as to why it happens. I took off the avatar's but when I print it was there.

    Printing Page. Just do a Print preview there and you should see what I'm talking about.

    Is there a way around this?

    OK so what you're getting is that the print area is too wide for the page? I found that as well and got around it by going into Page Setup and reducing the Left and Right margin sizes until I could see the entire width on one page. Try that out.

    In the meantime I'll try fixing the Print Thread so that it really is print friendly.

    Ahh yes resizing the margins... /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I forgot to try that. If anybody else is having this problem I recommend .25 on the left and right margins. It prints everything nicely. The horizontal printing is big tree killer though.
