Some questions on the Quest Mode... thank you for the answers... /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    1) How many Items there are for a single character??? 100, for a total of 1500 for all the characters???

    2) How many colours there are for every character???

    3) The "alternate/old" versions of the Stages... they can be unlocked from the Quest Mode, right??? I don't wish know how... just if this is the right method...

    4) The symbols... the little icons that you get from some opponents... what they do??? They give some item or wallpapers if you take them with a specific character??? Or they are here just for... fun???

    5) Wallpaper... why, sometimes, I have new Wallpapers without the game said this to me??? How I unlocked them???

    6) When Dural will be unlock... she will can be use also in Quest mode???

    Thank you all... /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can't answer all your questions, but I'll try a few. I imagine that the number of items for each character would vary a little like it did in the previous Virtua Fighter.

If you wanna find out, take a look at your item completion rating, and then divide this by 100. For example, if the rating was 50%, you'd do 50/100 which equals 2. Then look at the number of items you already have for that character and mutilply it by the number you just achieved, in this case 2. This will give you the total number of items for that character.

Of course, you could just check out a site that lists all the items and count them???

As for Dural, she becomes available to buy in the shop when you reach a certain stage (she costs 20000) and can only be used in Versus mode.

Hmmm probably about 50 items or so for each char.

About 10-15 colours per char or something

Old stages CAN be unlocked try doing some of the battles in the far right place...you know place where you watch movies and that I can't think of its name right now.

Collecting all symbols of a certain type open more challenges for you to do.

Making a general statement about items per character is always gonna be slightly inaccurate. Because some characters share some items, and some items are even shared by all the characters, such as the 'glowing eyes' or 'tut masks.' But some items are shared by a couple characters, like 'spiked armbands' or 'Mr. Bunnies'

Basically, all you need to know is that there are 15 characters and 1500 items, if you do the math, that makes 100 items per character (though it is apporximate), and that the # of items has significantly increased from VF4.

An easy way to check items for a character, are the sites with items lists (and pictures). Just do a search and you will find one, or try www.vfzone.com

Glowing eyes you say? Please tell me you don't have to complete the advanced mission mode to get those?

I can do the other three, but that one is a bastard!

Okay okay... at the end of the day which is more important:

Playing vf4 evo to a good standard with your chosen char(s) or

Making sure you char looks good regardless of your skills?

I mentioned 50 as a rough-guesstimate and yes I'm well aware thats probably not even a word its just something I have to use in my every day work.I myself have 81 items for my char file but which is better? An estimate which is lower meaning you'll still find things that you thought weren't available or an estimate which is higher meaning you'll be constantly looking for items which aren't there?

If peeps were really desperate to know item lists they could actually use that magical link called "search".

Whatever the case I'm losing no sleep over it tonight. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

relax, I was finally able to complete the entire training mode about 5 mins ago. The Challenge mode only gave me a few grand and a new hair item for my Aoi (green kabuki)... no glowing eyes there, I'm afraid... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif To be honest with you, I am a bit dissapointed, since some of the challenges were insanely difficult.

you've did it(challange) on a standard ps2 controller /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif or on an arcade stick /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif.

Ponders how to get the glowing eyes now.

In reply to csnape, I have to admit that getting items is what adds longevity for me. If there was no reward for spending 10 hours + training up your character in quest I'd lose interest.

Yes I'll admit its fun to collect all your chars items and certainly does add longetivity but imo I'd rather perfect my E-DTEG techniques on advanced ai ( don't have many peeps to play against round these here parts ) or stance dependant combos , stuff like that rather than just play to dress up my chars!

Yes can't think of how you'd get those glowing eyes myself just yet.I'll add a post if I do find anything on it.

another Quest-ion /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif can the temporary items be bought again after you finished the 50 matches with 'em or not.
I got Akira in a gray suit with red hair called Akuma right now /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Oh yeah does Akira has unlockable long hair-would be fun 2 put him in red & blond hair calling him Ken /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
And while I'm at it: where can Sarah's long hair be found. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Need some babe attitude since Vanessa lost her P1 uniform in my evo version /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

  15. LM_Akira

    LM_Akira Well-Known Member

Oh definately...hair and eye stuff and be bought repeatedly.hehe akumu eh? why not gouki as well?

Yes Akira has long wild hair as well as wild hair.I always have my 2p colour with the long wild hair.I think you have to do all of the trial mode to get it ( doing all 4 practise parts will give you an item each time.)

Can't help with sarahs long hair I'm afraid /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Sarah's long hair? Which one do you mean?

She has a few. She has the curly hair, which is obtained by completing one of the star quests in either arcade 3 or arcade 4.

Then she has the bandana in which she has really curly long hair, which is obtained from on eof the later star quests.

He layered hair, which is the one you see when Sega advertise her, which is straight and comes over her face, is her first orb item.

@csnape /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Great, Akira has the long hair-I'm on to trial now I guess: I can't stop playing him since I have a Hori stick anyway,so
Oh yeah, is the red costume obtained after completing the 2nd or third arcade, all I'm practically doing with Akira now is free training, it just feels so good pulling his shit off /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif only the [3_][G][K] [6_][P] [[4_][6_][6_][P][K] remains impossible 2 me the knee as well /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif
@hidden evil: thanx it was the straight long hair I meant, it makes her look exactly like my girlfriend /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yes he is a very fun char to play as .I use a SC2 hori stick but they are essentially the same.Yes what you mentioned is the DLC ( dragon lance combo )
    [3][K]+[G]>[6][P]>[4][6][6][P]+[K]
and I'm pretty sure every one has a horrid time trying to get the body check in at the end when the first start using him.If you need any help or advice on using him I'm only too happy to help, just send me a PM as it's kinda off the thread topic here.

Can't remember where I got the red costume but I know for a fact you get black when you have lost 100 times the orange comes from winning a tourney in the underground battle place and the gold is waht you get when you get to Champion or Haoh rank depending on what ver you're playing ( ie jap or PAL ).

I think I've pretty much all his colours ( I'm 93.5% done quest mode) and somethig like 92 items so if you're after any in particular just let me know. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

2 kind of you: I'll need it though, as even the tutorial isn't completed /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif btw I'm playing pal version using a second hand Tekken Tag stick-but as you asked I'll send anything specific I can't immediately find in a PM
Although the advice 'll probably be lot's & loads of practice... /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif fortunately I've got exams to pass this summer /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif would be happy with your 93.5% on my diploma /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif
