Question about VF3 - Akira's Sweep

Rather than bumping a post from 1999 I figured I'd start a new one pertaining to Akira's sweep and Jacky's standalone sweep from VF3. I was going through the vault and couldn't believe I found information that I never knew about. I think it's even more amazing that with the extent of how much I played this game that I never saw these moves, and even in Japan.

The fact that someone mentioned that this is also in VF2 really intrigues me! But, is it true, and if so, how do you do it?

Lastly can anyone point me to a video that shows this? And was it technically a glitch?

 

the move doesn't exist, that original post and most replies are intentionally misleading or joking. i don't recall exactly how or why that got started. probably something to do with IRC or confused newbies asking about moves that didn't exist.

 

I didn't recall that Akira has a normal sweep in VF3, but there were some bugs indeed. Maybe JHow found specific one but we don't know.

The VF3 commends are restricted, and you could do something outstanding than you thought. For example, after Sara's 6PK, she can jump flip to opponent's back with 9P.

that's sarah's forward "moonsault" jump, and 9P is the normal command for it. i don't think you're describing a bug at all.

 

Not a bug and the standing sweep was complete noob troll.

 

After 6PK hit, 9P becomes ground attack if you can't input well.

 

Sure but that is exactly how characters with a df+k ground stomp can still get out a sidekick should they want.

 

I mean you have a specific window to do 9P and flip to opponent's back (without doing ground attack) and becomes a BT situation. I don't think AM2 was doing this on purpose, such as Lion's 4G G G G quickly back step as well.
