I hope this doesn't affect VF4: Evo. I hate to sound selfish but as long as its not Microsoft I'm happy. Maybe Yu Suzuki will make a funky 2-d fighter with the folks at Sammy.

MS buyout Sega? Maybe for an encore Bill Gates will foot for an elite cadre of asshungry vikings to plunder me.

Personally, I don't care as long as Sega is still alive and kicking. I've been playing the hell out of my Lynx emulator this past week; between that, this week's death of Atari Games, and Sega's ongoing woes, it seems like we're losing (or lost) so much of what makes videogames so great.

I don't want to see Sega go the way of Atari; hopefully, the Sammy merger will stick and Sega will keep everything the same. The worst case scenario, I guess, would be Sega going bankrupt, with the various development studios (AM2, Sonic Team, Overworks, Hit Maker, etc.) drifting away seperately. Compared to that, I'd welcome Microsoft with open arms.

Don't forget regardless of what happens to Sega, those key development people could leave those companies making them just brand names.

That is why its pointless to buy up developers unless they want to merge because all the talent can leave and start up their own company. Like Rare, it was a stupid purchase in my opinion, because most of the talent left for Free Radical Design a long time ago.

If all the the Goldeneye people are at the other company why buy the company that made Goldeneye. Don't say because of Star Fox Adventures, that sucked.

    Theres my two bits. /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

Damn straight. They left Sega high and dry with Dreamcast and then we are all supposed to bow down before Bill Gates big machine.

Remeber Dreamcast was compatible with WinCe, thanks for the support Microsoft. Meanwhile behind closed doors MS was cooking up its own machine. And I don't know why Sega kisses up to them, bad management I guess.

Microsoft put Sega in the position they are today, along with the Saturn debacle, instead of supporting them.
