I recall reading from the official site that they've said something about that this game will come to the states next year. If so, then that's good. Is there anyone here that like the Samurai Shodown series, if any?

I used to run a VFDC esque site for Samurai Shodown so yar I'm a fan. Looks combo heavy tho and dare I say....I think I see clones /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I'm hyped for this game. I hope it restores SS to what it used to be. Haohmaru looks cool as always.
I hope it turns out good.

Ash_Kaiser Marly you no good jabroni I make you humble... Bronze Supporter

Haohmaru's winpose where he spins throws the sword in the air and it drops into the scabbard has always been one of the coolest win animations ever.

I want 64 Bust Hanzo though.

To the OP: You kind of got my hopes up when I saw this topic, I thought: "Finally, a release date for this game!" lol

Oh well...Anyways, I haven't seen this trailer, so thanks! ^_^

Can't wait to unleash some justice in this game w/ my main Tachibana Ukyo!

Considering the fact SC4 sucks ass, I have no interest in Tekken 6, and SF4 is also not on console yet, I might look forward to this one.

But then again... I didn't see Enja. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Seems completely different and it looks to have Tekken style juggling (not like Tekken 6 though).

The graphics and animation aren't that good, SNK don't seem to be too good at doing 3d character models. I like the mix of characters though and there aren't enough weapon based fighters so I'm still interested in this.

Planet Snk says June 2009 for the Ps3 and xbox 360, at least that's what it's pointing towards. That was the most recent information so far last month.

    http://www.planet-snk.com/?news=20451&na...60_Versionen_an

I would have preferred it to be in 2D.
But I'm still interested in it, SNK always compensated their lack of 3D ability with a lot of great ideas.

June 09? Not bad, thanks! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Also, here are a bunch of match vids I found:

Overall, I'm loving the game's aesthetics; music, visuals, atmosphere, etc...

However, I'm not too big on the "Tekken-like" juggles...Still, I'm not that worried...and the fact that the US version of this game is going to be uncensored and actually feature blood is a huge + over SC for me:

    Fatalities and the like...

June 09 is gonna be great! ^_^

EDIT:-http://www.snkplaymore.com.hk/samuraishodown/story_e/index_suzu_e.html - All of the playable characters so far, sans the bosses...I think I'm going to like Suzuhime. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

Thanks for that and see safe play by those players. I also see recent vids. The juggling seems deadly, but it shouldn't be as bad as Tekken juggles for damage comparison.

Oh and Kristian, I'm still going to buy the game. There's no need to troll in this thread. One person's review won't change my mind seeing as I'm not the type to dismiss a game based on graphics, but value the series alone. If he can't get use to the game's controls and wants to stay in the past, then that's his problem, not mine. People also whined about sf4 being in 3d and the controls while others accepted the game. So, what's your point for posting a review from someone who's casual? Try harder next time.

The game looks goofy. Not SS esq at all outside of the artwork.
