    Very simple, lets get the Sarah Nation (baseball joke lol) to join heads and discuss match ups character vs. Sarah.     Here is one from Yupa that was in the punishment thread, it is in regards to vs. Akira during wake up.


    Akira's wake up kicks are all half circular. That being said, it is useful that Sarah's sabaki attack /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif can defeat both wake up kicks. Remember that the sabaki will deflect non-circular mid kicks, and will jump over low kicks. If Akira's mid kick is deflected you deal damage and enter Flamingo at +4 advantage. If you jump over his low kick, you crouch stagger him and be in position to either /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif him into a combo or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/machine gun kick him if he struggles well.


    Here is one that I've been using that seems to work pretty well vs. Heavyweights.

    Note that Heaveyweights all have 12 frame jabs. Using this to your advantage whenever you can, dictate the flow of the match with Sarah's jab. If your jab is blocked, elbow cannot be interrupted be either low jab or jab so elbow away till he is forced into a defensive option and then counter him from there. If jab hits normal or counter, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and other 17 frame class attacks cannot be interrupted. Use your fast jab to keep your opponent in on the defense.

    He has a couple of full circular low risers, and he definately has the most linear ones compared to the other characters, but half circular doesn't matter in this case. The key is that most of Akira's rising attacks are classified as sidekicks or lowkicks, not as mid-crescents or sweeps. Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif sababkis sidekicks and hops Akira's linear rising low kick.

    Note that this is specifically after Sarah lands her normal stance /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif throw vs. Akira. You need to pay attention to Akira's ground positioning in other cases. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif doesn't work in all positions.

    The cool thing is that Sarah has one move that eats either of Akira's attacking options, and if he blocks the sabaki, Sarah still has the frame advantage entering flamingo. You don't get that kind of superior positioning that often in this game, so you need to know when you can take advantage of it.

    Actually, it should work considering all of Akira's mid risers are MK/SK class attacks. The trick would be just timing it right so both Akira's mid kick riser gets deflected by the sabaki window and you have enough time that the sabaki reaches it's jumping frames and goes over the low kick risers.

    Also note that in the face up head towards position, you can do this sabaki trap to any character, because every character's mid riser (delayed or not) is SK class.

    You can get this position after Sarah lands her /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif throw. This puts even more use on this throw now that I notice it. How awesome is that!

    I use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to switch the ring around all the time.

    More sarah nonsense vs. Akira.

    When akira lands /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif Sarah can BT /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif to beat Akira's "guranteed" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. Keep in mind that Akira can bait this for a punish but it's very hilarious and will make your local Akira player kind of pissed.

    Don't know if this works vs. everyone elses position change throw but it's worth a try.

    I find that Akiraplayers are often quite short-tempered and funny when they are pissed /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

    .. no wait, I'M an Akira player..

    Note: Akira has strong options against Flamingo high kick, so be careful when using it. utilize stuff that can't be sabakied like (FL) d+K~P+G instead to beat this. Among other things:
    Sarah: (FL) K
    Akira: b+P+K+G (sabaki), f+P -> d/f,d/f+P -> f,f+K,K
    b+P+K+G beats highpunch too, so its a good bet for Akira when Sarah has entered flamingo with only little advantage.

    The only thing I hate to fighter fight against Jacky, Lau, and Shun-Di, I have a problem against those 3, when I play Sarah, any tips will be helpful.

    Vs. Shun Di.

    It is vital to try and manage the amount of drink points Shun has. Controlling and stopping shun is more important than trying to land big damage combos.

    Try using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif more instead of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, is guaranteed on any hit and will drop a drink point for Shun. It is also safer and keeps the pressure on him.

    When spacing or in combos try using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif more. If both two kicks hit you can drain 2 drink points in one go. In combos you can let the first hit and then /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif cancel to FL for wake up pressure.

    Be sure to punish -12 situations with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. You may want to opt to punish even -13 and -14 situations with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif because vs. shun it is more vital to take drink points and keep pressure on him than to score more damage and knockdown. Also note you may want to use this move for combos in the begining just for the drink draining properties. Try keeping in closed stance with this in mind /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    Your nuetral /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif throw is excellent in this match up as it will take a drink point, is easy to execute on the fly and will continue to put great pressure on Shun.

    Note all your moves that take drink points, do not obsess about taking drink points but do recognize your options. Moves like FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and 270 catch throw are very useful and will take drink points so you may want to work your game more around those.

    Sarah has had A TON of stuff loaded into her WIKI these past days, thanks to the contributions of many Sarah players in here and late night madness by me and yupa Sarah currently has the best WIKI page out of the whole cast.

    I'm wondering if any of your guys are still alive and still want to contribute? If not I think I'm gonna start work on Sarah's jumping class attacks and probably finish the okizeime section.

    I'll leave the combo section to Yupa since I hate freakin tables @_@ lol

    Due to Lion's good ability of crushing highs and his sabakis, Sarah's flamingo gets disrespected constantly.

    Have to go to moral style when facing Lion, get really close and use lots of elbow hit checks. I mean that sucks though cause her elbow is terrible.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is good to use vs him because of his weak ability to punish lows. I know that the move puts Sarah at a big enough disadvantage for him to make use of punishment, but it's still worth using on his techrolls.

    What's even better for her to use is FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif
    On block that's just -11.

    I've also found that constant use of throws is real helpful for Sarah in the matchup.

    Crouching is also not a bad idea either, since the most dangerous mids of Lion you can spot ahead of time. Only when you get backed up against the wall is it now a terrible idea to crouch, because Lion has fast mids that stagger. As a matter of fact it's a terrible idea to be up against the wall vs Lion anyway. When trapped against the wall or pressured by Lion give Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif sabaki a try, you can jump over his lows and if he's using his mids you can stop those with this move.

    Oh yeah and finally something that's real disappointing, for FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif Lion can sabaki on the 2nd hit if the first hit is blocked.

    You're going to have to be doing ALOT of FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to bait retaliations from Lion and Dragon Cannon them.

    Not so sure about /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, I remember Chanchai /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif me out of it and Lion does have a mid circular that will catch it as well.

    I totally agree with taking some risks with sweeps. I like to take some risk with serpent cannon up close especially when at minor advantage.

    Good old fashioned defense.

    Other than /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to crush his jab string Sarah doesn't really have anything to defeat the mashing other than whatever everyone else has.

    #1 Evade the obvious stuff
    #2 Block if you cant evade very well and try to interrupt out with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif (beware if he is at frame advantage)
    #3 Try not to be fooled by his stances, focus on fast mid kicks or fast low kicks.
