Woot, might as well be, being such a shitty, unbalanced sack of crap.

But hey, SCIV can be decent compared to III, because you can't possibly get any lower, eh?

I miss SCII Ivy's 2P and SCII Mina and non-god tier Astaroth. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

hmm i wonder if sega of future will bend to online as namco has fallen to online. Not that I care for it just saying. Might be a VF online as namco say tekken wasnt going online and well.

except SCII mina had that fastest 3b in the game not to mention you can short cancel her string and was pretty solid.

asty was decent too but berserker was jsut god in comparison. you could short cancel alot of his stuff. Ive seen SC2 player Misato play and win many tourneys with his character. Same with Fetz.

They need to bring back SC2 yunsung and SC2 Yoshi.

but good stuff on online play.

no one mentions ultimate god tier x and soph, as if we're trying to forget that it ever happened.

Or how about just saying that Namco, along with the rest of the world outside of sega cares more about its fans and wants to give them as many opportunities to play together as possible?

    SC2 taki > SC2 X

sophitia is always god tier so she doesnt count.

Let's face it if there was no Virtua Fighter, we all would be playing Soul Calibur. At least thats what I do between version releases. I think, in terms of DEEPNESS, SoulCali runs a close second, ahead of Tekken, DOA, MK, and every other 3D fighter. Agree?

Agreed but my list goes like this 1.VF-in my opinion VF has the deepest gameplay and character balance. nuff said. chess for fighting games.

2.soulcalibur-its pretty balanced for a fighter and is in my opinion second only to VF when it comes to gameplay. plus it uses weapons which is a change of pace. i will also admit i think the background music is the best of any fighter.

3.DOA-it might not have the deepest gameplay or have the character balance of the other fighters i mentioned. what it does have though is great graphics and in my opinion the learning curve is great for people who dont play fighters much. my friends who dont play fighters much prefer to play DOA dont ask me why.

4.tekken-i know some of you are like what the hell. you put DOA before tekken. remember this is my personal top four. i do like tekken but i dont like the fact that for certain moves you have to press the buttons really fast. for example steve fox. some of his moves require you press the buttons really fast. i cant play tekken unless its on an arcade stick but thats just me. i bet some of you can play tekken perfect with a dualshock. what i love about tekken is that the characters overall look more badass then any other fighter. except for the panda and shit like that. i also think tekken has the best story lines for its characters. tekken has deeper gameplay and character balance than DOA but i just like DOA better.

sorry for the punctuation and for this being so long.

I don't say this to be mean, an ass, or a jerk, but as a way to convey my emotions about this idea in the purest form...

    Fuck you

I'm sorry. I just HATE SCII Yoshi, and I'm sure you're a good person who I'd like to play.

Sorry again, but it isn't directed at you as much as the idea.

It never happened. Because players with a sense of ethics never played them. LOL?

    <_<.*_*.>_>

Well, I've been playing Bryan since T3, so I agree.

What beats Mach Breaker (ff+2)? Maybe his ff+4?

in my opinion sc isnt that balanced they just do a good job of hiding it with the parry ,but still it is a distant second followed buy the poor mans virtua fighter then doa .

Did you even play Soul Calibur?

"Isn't that balanced" is an understatement of the week.

SCII pick Astaroth and play against a good X or Yoshi (fastest mid launcher that is delayable?!? GI that!).

SCIII pick rock and play against a Mitsurugi who abuses 22B VC.

The games are broke (though SCII was fun regardless), and GI only works for so long (like when then do it back).

The pecking order for me in 3D fighters because if I add 2D fighters in there the list definatly changes.

    1) VF when I'm in the mood for a game that I know there is a counter-measure to every action taken. No other game really has it down to that point except for Street Fighter. It is also a nice slow pace so there is plenty of time to think between actions taken

    2) Rival Schools- I miss this game and wish it was still played

    3) Tekken- it used to be SC but they screwed up real bad with SCIII and are not taking SCVI to the arcade first. . . will namco never learn their lesson. Namco just seems to put a lot more effort into making Tekken balanced than they have been into SC. If you can't tell I'm mad at namco for that because I love my sigfriend and sofitia. My only problem with tekken is the hit your opponent with a launcher do your combo wait for your next opening and do it again. Yes there are things that happen between launchers but the air combos are overpowered in my opinion but that is exactly why some people love the game.

4)SC- it's a great game just as deep as tekken and more poke oriented than the other two which I like. Namco just needs to get off their ass and make sure they don't screw up SCVI like they did to SCIII. Games are supposed to get better with itterations not worse. SCI>SCII>SCIII>SCVI unless they patch the game or have world renound player test SCVI like they did with Tekken 5.

    5) DOA- DoA isn't a crap game I just treat it like one. I hear DoA 4 was supposed to be a deep fighter but I have yet to play it. I really like the characters and the style of the fighters. Team ninja makes this game deeper and better each iteration they have a winning formula so I'm very optimistic about this game become a staple in my serious fighting game list.

Yo, this is dancingfi... oh, we aren't doing that any more?

I say we all just play Streets of Rage and be done with it. This genre of gaming needs something to leap out of it's ass and bite someone in the face. At least then the current apathy that is "Beatem' Up Games", or so they call them, will be slightly more absorbing than the crap-ass facade it has been since 1999.

/prop to Sebo's Bushido Blade though. That bastard was a blast, wasn't it?

    best-

As I keep on saying this to forums that deals with video games and online play, like I give a crap on online play. Sorry, but that is how I am. I do not care if one of my favorite video games have online play or not, as long the gameplay is good.[/size]
