Wellllllll, The lastest issue of EDGE says "Belive" at the end of their issue, with a watermark saying "Shenmue III" August 29th. Let's see what happens. I need this game.

 

I say we put all the Shenmue fans and the Earthbound fans in a steel cage deathmatch to see who are the most bugfuck insane

then whoever wins gets to take on the Fallout fanbase

 

WOW! If this is not bogus I hope they make it. I wouldn't mind seeing Shenmue 3. Shenmue definitely is/was an amazing experience. I remember paying about $120 for the original JP release. I was actually playing the original Shenmue(US) a few months back just for kicks. Until about 3 months ago I owned both games - US/JP(Shenmue 1) & EU/JP(Shenmue 2). I sold all of them except Shenmue 2(EU) version. There is no way I am giving that up. Christ... I need to get my Dreamcast back from my old roommate and give Shenmue 2 some well deserved love.

Well they could be porting Shenmue Online to Shenmue III right now, but I don't have high hopes.

 

Some douche on GAF admitted to doctoring the image, so it ain't gonna happen.

Also, there isn't any "billboard" space around Makuhari Messe, and space for banners and such is at a super-high premium (hundreds of thousands to millions) as it's a huge tourist area. Hanging self-made posters anywhere in the TGS or Sega HQ area is also a no-no that will get you a severe bitchdown by JP police. Someone clearly did not think their cunning plan through entirely... or, more likely, is trying to fuck people out of paypal donations.
