Side crumple combos

    is /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif really the best we got for this one?
    i just discovered how to use OMs effectively, but i feel like im not really able to take advantage of the damage potential...

    what you gotta do is basically, watch the opponent, and pay attention to which direction their most commonly used half circulars go in. then om in that direction at a time where you would normally pop out an evade. if their move doesnt have some insane hitbox or some sort of crazy tracking properties and it isnt a full circular... then youll probably hit em, if its a major counter itll be a side collapse, and you can bro-rape em.

    also, dont bother trying to om cozby or masa. it just DOESNT work for some reason...

    VF5395 has mentioned this. I recommend it because its produces high damage + it's universal

    Linz you can put an extra p on non-heavies in the combo you mentioned by:

    and theres nothing wrong with

    i find it easy to side crumple by doing DM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. ( Its the same idea as a DMPK.) It works well when you evade the first attack on strings such as ppp which tend to drive the opponent more perpendicular to your position. as a side mention the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif crumples also on NH. In other words you can side crumple a neutral opponent right after an OM. These are just my thoughts.

    Use can replace /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gifwith /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif as well. Does the same amount of damage.

    As a plus the hitbox of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif reaches lower, but I think it executes a frame or two slower but I'm not sure

    from 466pk normal hit side crumple i found these combos

    and i tested these out vs lei and, and most are dependant on stance

    closed
    33p pkg ppp works on closed, but damage is shoddy (high 60s damage)
    66k(hold) doku kk (73 damage)
    dash in hai k doku kk (70 damage)

    open
    dash in hai k doku kk (75 damage)

    now, why the open stance hai k doku kkk does 5 more damage than closed stance boggles my mind, but thats the one ima go for from now on since i have trouble seeing stances... and truth be told i might have these reversed, its kinda confusing when youre on the side.

    but the hai k doku kk works beautifully... i def reccomend it. i was suprised when it worked as ive never seen ANYONE do it that way, but its really easy for me to execute...

    66k is 20 frame execution
    466pk is 19 frame execution

    Well, as a disclaimer, I haven't tried doing this combo in dojo myself. But, a damage difference like that *usually* means that in one version the opponent is hitting the ground at some point, so you're getting some non-guaranteed bounce hits, which resets that 30% damage reduction counter in combos.

    So, this almost certainly means that the last one or two hits of the open stance version are not actually guaranteed.

    yeah honestly, ima have to get back into dojo to confirm that... it was like 3 in the morning when i tested that...
    and to give you a little perspective: i typically wake up at 4 in the morning... and normally go to bed around 9:30;)

    Remember that the dojo kinda sucks in VF5. Combo counter is not reliable, and even set to max, I think there are reported instances of the CPU randomly deciding not to escape things that real players can escape.

    When testing float combos always set the opponents recovery from falls into exact recovery.
    Removes bullshit combos.
