1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

My friend reports finding a Soul Calibur 2 machine at Southern Hills Golfland. I'll probably check it out in about 2 weeks (hopefully I'll find a VF4 Evo machine over there by then /versus/images/icons/smile.gif ).

I have heard, however, that SC2 has some really serious balance issues like Cassandra's infinite..

There are 2 at the local arcade here in Orlando. Get this shit, one of them has a button setup like a tekken machine! like this>>>

Welp, that's it, SC2 is broken... poor bastards, I know at least half of those guys are my defected Tekken brethren. But hey, it's their own damn fault for sticking with Namco instead of trying something new, therefore better - VF4. And with the dawn of VF4 Evo, it looks like the battle of the "which of these Tekken 4 killers is the best" was won without ever having been fought... shame. [IMG]

    * At this time I would like to reaffirm my allegiance to VF and VFDC. [IMG]

Went to Super Arcade on Saturday

There is also an SC2 machine at Super Arcade. No VF4evo, though.

Hmm... It's not really as broken as it sounds. Cassie's infinite is not good, but it's also banned from tourney use. Not much reason to bother with it. There are tons of annoying quirks that make the game feel sloppy like you wouldn't beleive if you're a longterm SC player, but doesn't seem to matter. The Tekken converts, the Capcom players etc just bink stupidly and say "Uh so? We've dealt with stupid, scrubby broken stuff for years." and they keep playing. *sigh*

Hopefully Namco will get around to a version 2.

I never was hardcore with SC1, and am neither impressed with SC2. I love Yoshi from the Tekken series and dabbled with him in SC1, but I hear they gave him the screwover as Namco is good at... and there are plent of f'd up aspects to the game, esp the GI system.

My arcade charges 50 cents a game, which is 25 cents more than necessary, esp if I'm gonna learn from scratch. Besides, even with the pretty graphics and moves, I just can't get into SC...

    Thank god for AM2. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif
