South Jersey Denny's VF Goodness

So Super and I went to a Ring of Honor show up in Philly and, getting back to south jersey at midnight, decided to hit up the only place open for food - Denny's.

This Denny's, unlike most Denny's that I know (not that I know of a lot of them) has an arcade. So after I ordered my All American Grand Slam I decided to go look. And to my surprise, guess what they had? VF4 Version B.

I was like "WTF!?!?!" Cause first off I always thought the closest VF4 machine was up at U-Ball (University Pinball in Philly), let alone a machine so close, let alone in a freakin' Denny's.

So of course I had to play it. It had those nice buttons (convex right? The good ones that don't curve inwards) so I thought the sticks might actually be good. Ha, 2p side sux0red. So after food I played on the 1p side and I thought "Wow, this kick button must be stuck, I keep kicking for no reason..." until I realized the guard and kick buttons were reversed on the 1p side. The buttons read and functioned, from left to right, as kick, punch, guard. Now keep in mind I had only heard such dark rumors in whisper, I've only dreamt of such mutilation in my darkest of nightmares, that it could even be possible to neuter a VF machine's controlers as such without being struck during the unspeakable act with a major counter smiting from god. The horror, oh the horror...

But just a warning to all of y'all, Super and I are gonna gonna train the Denny scrubs to become masters at the game. Not that there were even scrubs playing the game, but there will be. Oh yes, there will be. And let all beware! The South Jersey crew from this day forward shall only train at Denny's. We are no longer Rochester or South Jersey or even team Golden. We are...

Denny's Destroyers. Or perhaps Denny's Demolishers. Or maybe Denny's Damagers, Denny's Devourers, or even the Dreaded Denny's Death Dealers.

Watch out all, we'll be serving up an all american grand slam ass whooping 24/7!
