Hey everyone, new to the forums wanted to ask a few questions to the experts since I have no idea what I am doing.

I am having trouble fighting Leis and Brads or anyone else for that matter when they are constantly on the attack , I can't seem to break the attack when in close range and when I do try I get juggled.

Second i just wanted to know when the best times to use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif since I never use them effectively.

Thanks. Probably the first of many topics

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif ftw, seriously. especially against Lei Fei, You can easily low punch him out of his strings.

another thing, the filled in arrows mean a direction you are supposed to hold down, for example an attack that you execute from a crouching stance will often havea command like this /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. for directions you simply tap (such as those for the moves you mentioned) use the white arrows.

use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif when you are baiting for a counter hit, cause of the hit throw. use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/ /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif against techrollers and sidesteppers.

Completely forgot about using the white arrows, gonna try using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif when xbl starts working again, if I still get my ass kicked I'll let you know.

    Thanks.

most lei fei players on live constantly use the same strings, so evading and counterattacking works well.

SkateBKP, playing against lower level Lei-Fei players that constantly attack with the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif strings , Goh's two anti high/mid punch/elbow sabaki /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif works wonders. Same goes for Brad, since one of his staple offensive movement starts with his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif elbow string.

Both Lei Fei and Brad are characters that, once given momentum to go on the offensive, can be difficult to defend against. A good option is to fuzzy guard and wait until they use an attack that recovers long if guarded, then counter accordingly.

However, beware of throws though, as they both stance-heavy characters, and any throws coming out (stance cancelling) will be considered 0-frame throws, eg Brad's throw out of a Ducking will become a zero frame throw if you just stand there guarding.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'm improving alot against brad players as I seem to be timing the sabakis much better , I'm just just not capitalizing enough once I do it.
If I manage to evade a high attack I will come in with the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or if I sabaki and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif i'll just use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, which ain't really doing much damage. any tips on what to use instead.

    Thanks again.

    Sabaki followups:
    For the elbow/mid punch sabaki, use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gifbt and proceed with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif mixup.

Low punch sabaki you can either basara or do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gifbt and proceed with mixup.

High punch and mid punch sabaki I have no real clue what to follow it up with, any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can really follow up the P+K or 43P+K sabakis with almost any good starters (depending on how early you enter the command). Dash up throw is always a decent choice if you're not sure what to do. For an idea of how much advantage you get, check out Goh's command list.

Also, if you get a successful 3P+K sabaki in closed stance you can go for dash up throw instead of the usual P,K if you want.
