This is the 3rd reference that I've seen that references Virtua Fighter in the context of MMA Supremacy.

    MMA Supremacy and Virtua Fighter

Kung Fu Factory is developing the game. I heard they're hardcore and some of them are fans of VF.

Could it be somebody is going to finally combine a little VF with MMA styled games [IMG]

After watching a few of their interviews it seems like they're trying to produce a game that is somewhere between UFC 2009/2010 and Virtuafighter hmmm...... [IMG] I heard there is a mortal kombat element to it also, Maybe this is the one to play while we're patiently waiting on VF6 [IMG]

I fixed the thread title (you had the game name wrong). I think this game idea is pretty cool. I see and hear no reference to VF or MK, though. Please stop with the fabrications.

Edit: Sorry. I only watched the video. Just read the link now (it mentions VF).

This could be a really good game. I knew it was only a matter of time before some game company gave MMA the NBA Jam treatment. Hell, I think every sport should have it's own NBA Jam version.

That said, it's best for there not to be any real MMA stars tied to this since it would probably be used to set the sport back.

If the can make a decent fight engine, I could see myself throwing down on this way more than T6 or MvC3.

the game suffers from the same problems (for me) that all MMA games have. the stiff, stutter and zombie-like approach to the "animation" (quotes used correctly). bleah.

I did like how the person interviewed mentioned that they ARE NOT a fighting simulation. you couple that approach with another game that is decidedly not a simulation and you have what? a game, I guess. same as it ever was.

I Think this could be the real thing. KungFu Factory has been around a long time, and they've been behind some important fighting engines. If this game turns out to be everything that is being promised , this might be the evolution of the 3d fighting genre. This month's game informer preview of the game makes a direct reference to virtua fighter when talking about the games arcade influence.

This game could represent VF + UFC2010

It might truly be just what the fighting game industry needs right now.

Supposedly will contain the back story of what happened in the original days of MMA.

KungFu Factory worked on Mortal Kombat Too?
