You guys ever wondered what it'll be like if there was a tag VF? There would be some pretty destructive teams.

I, personally, would really like it.

Especially if it was 4-player tag....That would be tight!

A tag-style VF would be interesting.

There are so many things you could do with it. But to keep it different from other 'tag-style' games, they could introduce different/new elements. Something Sega/AM2 couldn't handle, no doubt. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

On a different note, could anyone tell me why my sig isn't showing up. I'm using the correct code and it doesn't exceed the limit size. Any help would be appriciated.

I think a tag feature would be really great. Now that VF is starting to get recognition in America, I think the series can use all the help it can get in combating Tekken and SC, and a new tag feature would help to add another little interesting and fun diversion to the game.

    because its hosted on geocities

i personally like the 1v1 format, with the multitude of tag based games out there, i find the 1v1 format a bit more refreshing.

Yep, it could be fun and interesting (and probably unbalanced) in the way that Hyper Action Battle is...hmmm, deja vu, have I typed this before?

Well, at least I'm glad to see DOA/TTT fans coming over.

Yeah, but I think if it is seriously done, not as a side game, it could be balanced...according to everybody here, the game is already balanced to the point where player matters more than character...so making the characters able to tag in and out should not affect balance?

Not necessarily. Like you said, it would have to be seriously done. If they just threw the characters "as-is" into a tag mode, some teams would dominate others because of juggle-ability. Akira and Lau have some of the best launchers. Have them fight, let's say Shun and Goh who don't have the same calibre of launchers. Not to mention juggle damage; Akira and Lau clearly do more damage with their juggles, and would do better in the tag atmosphere, since (let's be honest) tagging is really all about combos and juggles.

1 on 1 has always been my favorite style, but I don't see why a tag game couldn't be made. Hell, Sega made Fighter Megamix and VF Kids.

Frankly, for the time AM2 would need to "seriously do" tag-team, I would rather they spend that time on improving the existing 1-on-1 game instead. I.e. new characters, more stages, tweak Brad/Jeffry, etc.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

No tag team. Better core game.

    i agree with you.

but if they did do it, they shouldnt have random tags like they do in tekken where you just press a button and your teammate automatically switches with your current player. i think it should be a tag based on situation. for example: (lets say it was lau + kage as teammates) lau could do [4][4][P] and on mc input [6][P]+[K]+[G] (or something like that) and kage comes flying in and executes the second part to his throw [4][P]+[G], [[8][P]+[G]] while the opponent is in the air doing a "watever point damage". and now kage becomes your "active" character. that's my idea of what it could be like. and for each tag team, they'll have different moves and situations when you can switch characters.

also, each character has their own life bar like tekken tag so one character could have a full lifebar and the other could have 1 point of life. if one character gets KOd or ROd then you lose. thats where the strategy between switching comes in. lets say the move I mentioned above does significantly less damage than lau's [4][4][P][2][P][P][P][2][K] but Lau has only 1hp, will you switch to kage (who has a full lifebar) and do less damage or continue with Lau's combo doing more damage but risking the game because of his low life?

by doing the tags situation based, i think it would eliminate the fact that some characters have better juggles than others and some characters have better followups than others.

but ya... i think they should focus on 1 vs. 1.

(i think i lost people somewhere in my description /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)

I agree with focusing more on the 1v 1 game. But if do something like a tag game hopefully it'll be balanced unlike some games, in DOA the Kasumi and Hayabusa team is way unbalanced.
