EM used Goh...although I'm not quite sure he even knew what game he was playing =).

That was a lot of fun, now for my shout outs (a little later than I expected)

Jaxel - A pleasure as always, haha. You probably should've had me in our last match. Gotta love convenient Ring Outs

ThrowMasta - It was great meeting you. Thanks for the combo and gameplay tips for Aoi. I've already started using them against my brothers, works well, haha. Good to know that you live only about a half hour from me.

AkiraZero - Congrats on the win. I had fun with the 30+ matches we had after the tourney (even if I got whomped the majority of them, heh).

Yupa - Thanks for showing up. Coming for RI is real dedication. Thanks for all the matches, you've got a great Sarah. Thanks for all the pointers as well.

HackerMike - Awesome Blaze. I wished that I would have had more of a chance to play against you.

And to my brothers, Keith and TGP locals - Good job, we did pretty well, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

You're welcome B, I hope you get the most out of Aoi; she's such a fun character to use. The hard work really pays off in terms of how much fun she is to play and win with. We'll have to get together soon after my Arcade-in-a-Box arrives in the mail (should be soon!). Good games, and I had fun going over strats with you. Still can't believe you reversed my charging shoulder attack, lol. I'll be in touch!

Good games everyone, despite my arcade stick situation, the tourney was a lot of fun, and it was a pleasure to meet you all.

Yupa, nice to see that kind of dedication from you, and your Sarah is formidable. A 5 hour drive, and work at 6am the next day really shows your love for the game. Wish you could have stayed til Sunday. Good games, and nice hanging out with you dude.

Jaxel, you are a wealth of knowledge; more so than I'm used to. You must have a LOT of time on your hands, based on everything you know, lol! In all seriousness though, good Vanessa play and it was pleasure to have hung out with you. You're welcome here anytime, and if I ever come to Crooked Jesters, do I really have to shower? :D.

Hacker Mike, pleasure to have met you as well. I had some of my most entertaining matches vs. you. I guess it's the nature of the pairing (Wolf vs. Blaze is a blast). You showed me a lot of very cool looking moves with El Blaze that I wasn't even aware he had; particularly that enziguri kick sequence, and the tornado head scissors catch throw. Awesome games, and hope we can continue to have them down the road.

Akira Zero, nice to see you after all this time. It was really nice hanging out and playing you again. I wish we got many more matches in, because I could have kept playing you for hours after you guys had to leave. You're constantly improving, and your defense is really tight. Awesome Lei and Akira, playing with the NYC guys has really shown. And you're only going to get even better! Hopefully we'll find time to hang out again soon, and hopefully Frank can include himself next time.

To everyone one else (whose names I forgot) that I met at TGP, nice hanging with you all, and I'll be stopping by regularly if the interest in VF5 is genuine enough to grow. Great games everyone, see you soon!!

Got back to Braintree, MA (where work is) around 2:30am. Got 3 hours sleep, and then suffered thru a very slow shift at work... =) I did this once before, when I got no sleep after a trip to NYC about 5 years ago. I'm getting old... =)

Congrats Akira Zero. You were definately the top class of the group there that night.

Had a great time. Wish I could have stayed longer... the after tourney matches looked like they were going to be more fun than what we already did. Throwmasta, I'm glad we had a chance to sneak in a bunch of friendly matches inbetween tourney bouts. Hopefully the next time we fight you'll be more comfortable with the controller. I'd really like to see what you can do at your best.

As an aside, Throwmasta plays cross-handed. Right hand on stick. He's not the first person I've seen do that... brought back memories... =)

Sorry I couldn't make it guys. My buddy was visiting and he wasn't down with driving out there (he doesn't play VF very seriously). It sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Next time Diss, we need to get some games in again soon!

Oh and Yupa, I forgot to give you props on your 270 throw skillz...very nice use of Gatling Kick Beat!!!! Nice using Sarah's tornado bulldog catch throw at max range too. I think it's awesome that like myself (up until Christmas when I get Assassins Creed), VF5 was the only game you had for PS3 as well =).

Hey Throwmasta... this is the anime I was talking about...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxrTu7fT1FY

Ippo does a triple combo... Liver Blow into Gazelle Uppercut into Dempsy Roll. Haven't seen the anime in years, but its a kick ass anime.

Throwmasta: Thanks for housing us after the tourney! It was awesome playing you again. Your wolf is crazy good. I'm just fortunate that my DTE/EDTEing is improving. Like I said before, I feel bad about your controller situation. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif Our matches would have turned out different.

Yupa: Wow man, it's awesome just seeing how dedicated you are to this game. It really sucked that you had to leave so soon after the tourney. I wish you could have stayed because we went to Throwmasta's house and played VF afterwards.

No problem dude, you guys are welcome to hang out at my place anytime; just give me some advanced notice.

As for the controller situation? My frustration came from not being able use proper inputs from start to finish, I kind of suffered with that aggravation throughout the entire tourney. Not in terms of winning or losing, I was frustrated even when I was winning. I had no problems hitting the corners with a square gate, but it's the simple /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif motions that kept failing me. Surprisingly, I'm pretty sure that I was unaffected by the curved button layout of a Hori (I'm used the straight SF style layout on my MAS). I'd probably be able to get used to that kind of stick in a few days though...I think.

Yep... the after party is usually better... sorry I missed playing you guys some more.

Hopefully TGP will host another tournament. We should be able to get guys from VA and NYC to go there... especially if the prize money is worth it =)
