Lets Send SEGA of Japan a ton of mail requesting the game for console.
I know alot of us have kind of lost hope or given up on the franchise, but we still need to try even this is like the 5th time we've tried to campaign for the game. I think the advantage is we have more than a month's advance notice to let them know were out there, and pester the hell out of them. We shouldn't do anything stupid like fony e-mails, or multiple requests from the same user (stuff we allready know).

I had a feeling about this all the way back before E3 that if it was going to be announced it would be at TGS. Lets hope I'm right. And remember to send a ton of E-mail requesting VF5R annoncement at TGS.

Write them a message telling them that your cousin is dying in hospital and that it's his dying wish to have VF5R on PS3 only because he hates the 360 which was what gave him his terminal illness. That should get them doing something.

I know at least one person will get the reference.

Just remember to say that you're Japanese. If you're a foreigner (especially American) it will give them more reason not to release it on consoles.

I always expected SEGA to announce something at TGS of this year. If not, I still be enjoying VF5 and the upcoming TEKKEN 6.

    I wrote

""" I would put it this way , Announce Virtua Fighter 5 R for the PS3/X360 or I will stop buying / supporting any franchise under the trademark of SEGA . I have even bought endless Sonic games just to give you enough support to release Virtua Fighter 5 R , but it seems that you don't care about us nor about your franchise's future in the strong market of the west . Virtua Fighter 5 R in TGS is your last stand .....for me and for any loyal fan in the last 14+ Years """"

Remember it is not just for the fucken game .It is far more than that .It for the sake of the long years of being loyal to a company that doesn't even want to listen to us .

I read these forums regularly, and post every so often. I have to admit that it's becoming really tiresome to see these posts.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">for me and for any loyal fan in the last 14+ Years</div></div>

First and foremost, please don't speak for me. I have no issue speaking for myself. There are very few people here that have been truly part of the loyal fanbase for 14+ yrs, and I don't know who you are, but I'm not sure you're part of that - at least not the online VF community. So, yeah, please speak for yourself and yourself only.

Lastly, your feeling of entitlement is full of fail. These threads continously refer to a fictitious sense of "Sega owes us". Sega doesn't owe you shit. They're a business, they're not a charity, they're not a daycare. Stop thinking that what you say, do, think, feel, has an inkling of influence. Because you're simply deluding yourself, and the naive masses of novelty VF fans that browse these forums.

VF4:FT did not come to console. And guess what? The community didn't whine about it; we accepted it and moved on. Please take note and do the same.

Re: TGS 2009 VF5R Last Stand

If Sega owes us nothing, we owe them nothing either. So if we want to be upset about them not releasing VF5R on consoles, that's our prerogative just as much as it is theirs to decide not to release it.

As for Final Tuned, it only added new stages, items, and tweaks. They didn't totally overhaul the system with new characters and moves like they did with 5R. They also didn't make it impossible to import the arcade version of 5R either. And they had already released an updated version of VF4 on consoles when FT came out, so most people conceded it was unreasonable to expect them to do a third. Don't compare the two situations like they're the same thing.

At any rate, I've felt like TGS this year would be the last chance for VF5R on consoles for a while now. And the general vibe coming from Sega for the last few months hasn't given us any indications they are interested in announcing it. In fact, Sega has been moving away from it's former base in just about every way possible. It seems like more than anything else they want to distance themselves from their hardcore image and jump on the casual gaming bandwagon. I'm not very optimistic about a console 5R right now.

Sure I agree with that, except this is the year of the fighter and Sega's shooting themselves in the foot by not releasing VF5R. Most of these 'novelty fans' you talk about are just going to move on to something else. How can you be a buisness if you have total disregard for your customers?

I think what's really being said here is that 'the customer is always right', except most of the people here care more about VF than *insert generic shopping item here*, so they feel hurt that Sega are killing something they care about.

We definitely have the right to complain about not getting the latest game in our favorite series. You're on VFDC remember???

I agree with Llanfair in regards to Sun's post that he allegedly wrote to Sega. I, as a VF fan; do not endorse Sun's message either.

I really want VF5R to come to consoles. Although I'm not going to gripe Sega and give them ultimatums for the chance of it happening.
