    introducing . . .
THE 96 HOUR BATTLE FOR LOS ANGELES
and a cheesy flyer made by me

A 4 day post evolution tourney event for the VF community.
It will be located about 7-8 miles from the tournament location, and we should have no problems transporting people with intensive carpooling.
exact time, location, specifications etc etc etc will be covered very soon.

Paper flyers will be on deck at the tourney, so you dont have to worry about getting this information down yet.

Also this is a call out for you alcholics - do you guys prefer that we provide the liquor and there will be a cover charge per drinker - or BYOB? post your thoughts here.

brian will release another variant of the flyer soon

To anyone that played at Sean's house last year, this'll be the exact same thing but at my house this time. I'm going to get as many setups going as I can, and open my house to anyone that wants to play after the Evo tournament. Last year we were fortunate to have the Japanese players play with us, and we all probably played well into the next day. There will be as many casual matches as you want, but since we are all here we'll probably have a tournament or two with free entrance and fantastic! prizes. We really want to try to get a team battle in if we can.
The exact details are not set, but we'll probably host any pre Evo fighting as well.
We're going to be playing outside so bring a jacket. If anyone has any serious issues with that, tell me now and I’ll try to get some inside playing ok'ed with my roommates.

I dunno, I'm thinking BYOB because not everyone drinks... it's easy to make an alcohol run right? Liquor stores are around correct? =P

due to popular demand i think it would be appropriate to run a team battle during this event.

the format will be 3 man teams
unless theres an unexpected large turnout which will shift the format to 5 man teams, but most likely we will stick to the 3 man format.

Day 1: will be sign ups and warmups
    Day 2: preliminary tourney
Day 3: Final 4 and Finals
Day 4: your usual party, kick back have fun

start planning teams now, more event details will come out rapidly as evo approaches.

BYOB sounds good, as long as we dont have to deal with mooches that span through 4 days. Everyone pitch in and im sure we'll have a blast.

Oh anyones whos got consoles at your hotels or anything. BRING IT! got sticks BRING IT!!, you can dislodge your hotel tv somehow BRING IT!! sneak it out MGS style . . . cardboard box.

Home turf is gonna put up a strong fight!!

Am I correct in assuming that Day 1 is Thursday and so forth or does it start following the official tourney which ends Saturday night? Either way...it should give me something to do Monday morning until my plane leaves at 6. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
