The mind of *insert character here* Podcast series

Each week, I plan to do a podcast with 1 Top player in VF to discuss how they approach their character, Things they look for, Practice regimes, Etc. I will use this thread to post the podcasts and hopefully they will go on to the front page!

First character I will do will probably either be Jean Or Akira. Depends on whom I can get to podcast with me. If you have any suggestions or requests regarding this, Please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you!

I am incredibly interested in this! I am really excited to hear about how top players play and their suggestions for their characters. I would love to hear more about Pai, the person I main as I am hitting a wall with her and need some fresh input. When do you think this will be starting?

Lol thanks for the consideration Dom. But I haven't even entered my first FS tourney yet nor have I played all the big heads in the scene yet, or offline for that matter. Plus I ripped my whole basic foundation from Reno and just personalized the rest. I'd want to get some more competitive experience under my belt in this game before I go about sharing and informing(more than I already have lol).

Plus, if something were to happen where people died and Chib was crazy enough to consider me, I'm not really a podcast guy. Even when they HORRIBLY botched and slighted the Ganryu podcast for T6 and they approached me with the opportunity afterward because everyone knew I was the only person who knew him in and out and played him on that high level against nearly all the top players with creativity not seen from anyone else, Korean (Nin personally said so) or Jap, I still refused or postponed rather, until TTT2. Idk. I just like to play against cats and discover setups in the midst of matches. I don't even listen to podcasts or anything lol.

But even moreso than the guys on VFDC, the people selected to rep the charas should be the competitive guys who are currently active with them. Wherever they are. As they have the experience and know what actually works and doesn't in pressure matches. The frame/theory specialist guys are always important, but it has to be executed in real matches.

Anyways that's what I think. I don't care for podcasts but I'll try to catch these because it'll no doubt be interesting.

 

Pedigree and confirmed kills to prove it....Pai/Aoi.. Dabadseed, El Blaze is Cidkid off the bat. These guys have the tournament exp.

 

Please dear God this. Would be the only podcast I've ever had popcorn for.

 

I vote myself for Dural. I wish I were joking.

 

I haven't seen Dabadseed at anything major since FS dropped. While older heads are cool and all, we should stick with people who have been proving their mettle with the new system. Character's have changed a ton from vanilla. I for the most part agree with what SDS said though. Tourney tested, high lvl opponent beating cats.

But I also don't want to hear from someone who "subs" a character. They gotta main the character. Live and die by that character.
