Who here follows NBA? Although the NBA has lost its charm a bit compared to the golden days of Magic, Bird, Hakeem, or Jordan, this year's final's been really something else.

IIRC, first time in 32 years the 2 best defensive teams are competing in the finals, and it hasn't been a disappointment IMO. The Pistons are like the monsters in horror movies that never die, and it's freaking scary to watch how they handle pressure like nothing.

The game 7 will be on Thursday. I am rooting for the Spurs, but it seems like the Pistons have momentum going to the game 7. What's your thoughts?

My roommate is from San Antonio, so I pray that the Spurs win or she'll be pissed off about it for the entire summer.

Besides, before the finals the Spurs had only lost five games at home, so I think they've definitely got a home court advantage going for them. We'll see how it goes.

I just found it funny that 2 COMPLETELY different styles of play me in the conference finals, and in both cases, the team oriented, defensive minded team prevailed. Imagine if it were Phoenix / Miami in the finals, this is possibly the first year that I think any of the team in the conference finals would have desered to be in the finals.

Win/Win situation. If they lose you can "console" her & if they win, you can "celebrate".

Time to quit all the training mode and go ahead and get some matches in.

A Phoenix-Miami series would have been fun to watch, but I knew there was no way Phoenix could beat San Antonio. At least the last three games of this one were good.

Horry is the man. He should make the Hall of Fame just for his six rings with three teams and all those game winners in the playoffs.

Ben Wallace's Roid Rebound Rage wasn't enough to carry the Pistons to victory and that's good. I like Brown, but I am not crazy about Detroit. I would have preferred a San Antonio- Miami series, but at least with David Robinson being retired, the Spurs are not as lame as they once were.

Is Tayshaun Prince the ugliest guy in the NBA? He gives Sam Cassell a run for his money. Prince gets my vote because he looks like alien- like from the end of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Sam Cassell, Tyrone Hill, Tayshaun Prince, all rank up there.

Scottie Pippen's face is no picnic either. Let's not forget Larry Bird.

    Handsome Yao

You're just prejudiced against Chinese, Smurf.

Seriously though, among 7 and a half footers, Yao looks better than, uh, Shawn Bradley, Manute Bol, or Mark Eaton.

Oh, and how bout some Ugly Props for Bryant "Big Country" Reeves and Greg Ostertag?

Is this the dumbest thread ever?
