TO any who were at the VF3 TOURNEY Oakville, ON, Canada 1997.03.28

I know this was 5 years ago, but after this tourney i went into retirement of vf basically untill vf 4 came out for the ps2 .. i still have great memories of this tourney how fun it was and all the skilled people, mainly YUPA, BIG CAT, and many others, i came with SUPERDOUG from Detroit, but any who were there and remember me (the only BLACK GUY at the entire tourney) /versus/images/icons/smile.gif my name is Dion and i place 2nd in this big tourney.. please post here so i can do a sort of a roll call to reunite with skilled vf players i met there.. and hopefully come back to On, or Ny or wherever to play again, the VF scene is unfortunately DEAD in michigan so im willing to travel, or if anyone is coming over this way let me know.. also if ANYONE knows where Douglas William COLE (SUPERDOUG) is.. PLEASE let me know or have him contact me on here, he is one of the only hardcore veteran VF players left in michigan, since motorcity jacky moved to Cali in 1997.. sorry for the rant but it was 5 years in the making... so where are all the people that was at this event.. i came across the event page on here and looked up the tourney there and all the names are listed for the people that were there... if you remember or attended... where ya at!? /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

 

Damn! Hey Dion, I remember you! I'm the guy who organised that tourney. Well, VF is still alive in TO -- barely, but still alive. I;m sure when EVO makes it to the arcades around here there will be a revival. If you're will to travel to TO I'm sure we can arrange a decent gathering.

That was a damn memorable tourney you threw there... when vf evo hits there im down to come out there for gatherings or tournies, we have to find Doug, your friend knows where he is? i havent seen him in years since i ran into him at a movie theater 3 years ago.. im sure he would go with me to TO and im on a quest to find and maybe reunite the rest of the michigan VF vets, im thinkin i might need to go to chicago soon since its close and lots of vf players are there.... nice hearing from you , and glad you remembered me /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

i was there, too, i remember you as well..

um. so.

no one knows where doug is. this question comes up every once in a while on efnet irc #vfhome. he's pretty well off the net radar. he did come onto #vfhome about two+ years ago, for a brief while. nothing since.
