Ok. So I got around to capping some of the matches last night and CreeD was kind enough to have them float around on IRC. However, does anyone have any space that can host some of these clips for me. If anyone has any suggestions for hosting (SuperG, Namflow?) that would be great.

*** update - I've managed to create some more space. I post more as soon as they upload. ***

Nice work guys.
Most impressed with Plasma. Those are some pretty solid Kage skills. If you had stuck to less situational juggles I think you would have won from what I saw.

Llan, nice pai. Good throw escapes kept you alive quite a bit.
SuperG - I don't like saying this, but cool Jacky. I dislike Jacky so it's hard to compliment. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Pretty cool work though. Llan just kept getting you with throws.
Namflow seemed afraid the whole time. That or they are just a machi player. Kinda strange seeing Van and Lion played very similar.

Good stuff guys.

Excellent pai vs van match lots of throw escapes, only thing i thought the pai player could of done better was counter vans elbow cause she did that quite a bit.

When you say counter, do you mean reverse? or inashi? In another match I try and inashi a bit more but the move's very quick and very safe for Vanessa. It recovers at -5. There's not a whole lot you can do after you block it. It also sabakis quite a number of attacks. Thanks for the feedback /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yah i mean reversals everybody seems to forget that she has them. Maybe it's just me or it's a worldwide thing but i seem to find it a bit obvios when she gonna use her elbows.

Thanks for the compliment Replicant /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Still don't know why there are so many Jacky haters out there... But glad I could impress one of them...

Those finals were pretty rough, for me to watch anyway /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Llanfair was tossing me around like a rag-doll heh... He was on fire then... Was that all of the final matches, or wasn't there the 2/3 series before that too?

As for Vanessa, you want to attack after a blocked elbow, but you can't throw after it and if you attack right after even though you are at an advantage, it's very possible that he will just throw out another elbow to sebaki or dodge your counter attacki... It's a very good move for Vanessa, it gives your opponent the illusion of advantage even though their counter attacks may not work that well...

When they met in the round robin I think it was Rich was hitting lots of 270 throws, however during the match posted Llanfair kept on escaping them and Rich should have tried for some other directions..

I guess we must be "machi" since people keep saying it... whatever /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There's more to the finals before those last two matches. I haven't capped them yet. Reviewing those matches, it hilarious - the alternating 3-0s /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Match 1: SuperG 3 Llanfair 0
Match 2: SuperG 0 Llanfair 3
Match 3: SuperG 3 Llanfair 0
Match 4: SuperG 3 Llanfair 0
Match 5: SuperG 1 Llanfair 3
Match 6: SuperG 2 Llanfair 3

cheers,

Llan, hurry up and capture more clips! /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'm really surprised at how well they turned out...aside from the glare on the monitor the clips are really good.

I'm still having nightmares about that TFT ring-out... /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Am I the only one who can't view these clips? Save As, and just clicking on the links result in a black Windows Media Player screen with the word "Connecting" on the bottom. And it stays that way forever.

I got probs with it as well. The clip plays a second or so, then jumps ahead, plays another second, jumps ahead...
I say blame llanfair for using some non-standard codec (or me for getting a crappy codec pack, that works with everything else /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

The clips are DivX 5.03. So, go to dvix.com and get the latest codec /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

They should all DL fine. I've checked the links and everything seems to be in order. Hope this helps.

No wonder those clips wont work for me. /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I was using divx5.02 and every clip runs for 10 seconds and stops.

This tourney was a blast .. nice to see everyone around ~~

I gotta say good work with the vids. They look great for camcorder vids. The tourney looked like good fun -- too bad I missed it. But, I be at the next one for certain.

Hey what's up. I got a few clips of some of my matches myself but thay're against the computer on kumite mode. The problem is I don't know how to upload them onto a computer. Can anyone here help me with this?? I think I'm pretty good. I got 65 wins in a row playing with Jeffry. If I can find it somewhere on this site just tell me and I'll look. Thanks guys.

hey... uhm, you need a lot of webspace to host clips. You can ask your internet service provider to see how much they give you... usually not a lot.

Also, I don't wanna discourage you, but I don't think many people will want to see someone beating up the computer in kumite mode. There aren't any mindgames against a computer, you know what I mean?

If you get some matches in vs. humans and want to put them up, feel free to PM me.
