Depends on what strats is Wolf using... can you be more specific?

This is a tough matchup for me too man.

Best advice I can give and this is kind of general against Wolf (imo) but more so for Jacky.

- Of course know your throw breaks. Such as the essential directions you want to prevent and how to use them effectively.

- Be patient at a distance. Jacky has great mid range coverage but the risk of attacking at this range against Wolf is too high for what you would net in terms of damage. Be ready to hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif before you see the shoulders hit you lol.

- Learn to out poke Wolf and spot his disadvantage moves. This is the one spot Jacky can outshine him in the match, so you really have to keep the pressure on him once you have the momentum.

Hope that helps, I know it's not specific, just a general tip. If others disagree please correct it.

Elbow. Early and often. Wolf has a slow low punch and basically no fast mid. When Elbow lands Go for a throw or knee or a b,f kick, or just keep poking him. That's what I would do anyway.

Don't stand away from Wolf or he will force you to play a game of "Tard's Rouchambeau" (Wolf's favorite).

On a side note, I sent a Wolf player a message after I beat him that said "u r terrible" This guy did b,b p+g or evade p+k at least 15 times in the match. I felt my message needed to be delivered.

Yep, his lowpunch is just as fast as (most) everyone elses. And screw lariat is his elbow-speed mid. But generally he is more susceptible to pressure as he doesnt have many anti-pressure moves and his highpunch is as slow as low punch. Just be careful not open yourself to throws and be careful with getting staggered. Short shoulder can go under highpunches and float for good combo, and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif can crush low attacks.

A Wolf matchup can go wayside very quickly if you eat moves from a distance. Also if you can't throw escape - forget it.

Always break /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and a situational throw. What I mean is take a look at where you are in the ring.

My back is to the wall. What do I look out for?

Most players will go for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif direction. Break this throw or you will suffer. To mix it up the Wolf player can use any of Wolf's wall variations, so be alert to how the match is playing out and show early on that you're not gonna eat /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif. Watch those shoulders. Wolf players love to slam clueless opponents into the wall for major damage. (Shoulder can also ring you out over low walls!!! Watch out!)

His back is to the wall/edge of the ring. Am I safe?

No. Break /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif or die. Again yomi prevails over all. Break this throw early to show competence and make the Wolf player use alternatives for his damage. Also, PRESSURE. If you have momentum lay on the offense and force a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif throw. Both damaging options! Look out for the occasional /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to beat failed evades!!!

We're battling in the center of the ring. What's the deal?

Watch for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. This is Wolf's main low attack. The best defense for this is to evade to his stomach when you think it's coming. If you anticipate /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or get put in minor disadvantage and the Wolf player chooses screw hook; evade to Wolf's frontside to avoid both attacks. (Screw hook can be countered with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif if you defend the first and crouch the second) Be careful to avoid BOTH screw variants at the end or you will eat the second on your successful evade. Also watch for Wolf players that are good at hit checking the first hook... they'll bait a crouch and low throw you!

Be cognizant of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and F5 (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif). You're going to have to be alert, or if you're clean you can attempt a triple throw escape. (Not recommended. Know your opponent and focus on your offensive flow instead.)

General Advice

-Avoid /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif by evading to Wolf's back.
-A successfully defended /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif nets a guaranteed /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.
-Avoid side step catch throw by inputting /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to your back and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to your stomach.

-Watch your evades. Wolf has serious setups for huge damage.
-Watch your fuzzy guard. Wolf is also a dangerous low throw character.

And finally...

Attack. Do not be afraid of your opponent and minimize delays in your attack pattern. If you lack aggressiveness you will be playing into a Wolf player's strength and will be vulnerable to Wolf's high damage setups using his slower starting moves.

Or you could jsut block it, cause.. um... you know..
its -27 on block

Although the evade advice is sound to avoid both this and screw hook.

I evade it to avoid both attacks yes. I also mention that beat knuckle is guaranteed (best counter attack) on block.

And remember to get out of neutral throw in a "one step" distance from the wall, when your back is against it. You can eat 104 damage if I remember well :p And El Brisal is right. Try if you want... but you CAN'T BEAT WOLF! HE'S A F'ING KILLING MACHINE!

Keep in Mind also that on a High Fence stage Jacky is at his mercy when cornered. HCB throw makes jacky smack into the wall standing up. Stupid part of this is some character don't stick to the wall at all. I to have trouble with a good wolf player. Its almost dishearting when i Beat him down and a few lucky throws gets him back into the match lol!

P.S. Your best bet is to play the Throwing game to keep him moving and uneasy.

this throw combo works for 6 characters. akira, vanessa, wolf, jeffrey, sarah, and jacky! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif but works best against jacky, sarah, and jeffrey.

everyone else needs distance from the wall for the combo to work...
