Hey guys. I am having a problem with tutorial 18 (evasion 2) on the xbox version of FS. It is the one where you take a punch string, then hit df df G to avoid either a mid or throw. When I execute this I avoid a mid every time but I have not once avoided the throw. I have tried to OS throw tech, etc. I have no idea what it wants me to do. Over a few days I've spent like 45 mins on this and I have no idea what I am supposed to do. I googled the problem first and the only thing I saw was someone saying they had a problem until they held gaurd as opposed to pressing it. Still no luck. Any help greatly appreciated!

Try inputting this first [3][3]. Doing this you should avoid the throw; however, you will get hit by mid. Once you get that timing down, do the [3][3][G]. Let us know if this helps.

You want to "buffer" the df, df input.

Meaning, you want to enter the crouch dash input (df, df) BEFORE you recover from getting hit by that last kick. I pretty much start inputting df, df immediately when that kick hits my character's face--not when my character has recovered from getting kicked in the face.

The crouch dash should come out at the earliest moment then and that will duck the throw. After that, just learn to press G as early as possible during the crouch dash.

That's my take on it anyways ^_^

You just need an ever-so-slight delay between the 2nd [3] and [G]. You need to let the crouch dash animate for a few frames to allow your character to "duck" the throw. If you hit [G] too early, then you'll remain standing and vulnerable to the throw.

Also note that you want to have the joystick in neutral when you press [G], otherwise the mid will hit you (but it doesn't sound like you're having that problem).

    Explicitly, it's [3][3] (slight delay) [5][G]
