UK 360 Release Date

Does anyone know with 100% certainty what date VF5 is released for the 360 in the UK? 'Coz I thought it was 29th/30th October, but play.com has it listed as 26th, game.co.uk has the 1st, hmv.com says 12th and amazon just says the game is currently unavailable.

So what's going on and who should I beleive?

 

As far as I know, the official release for europe is the 26th of October.
SEGA anounced it about a month ago!

 

So what's with all the different release dates on those sites? I'f I order it from say HMV am I likely to get it on the date they have showing? If not can I complain to them and get a discount? lol

 

I don´t trust in those dates anymore, the only one quite reliable is the publisher´s "official" launchdate.
But you always have to check if they publish a shipping- or a launch-date!
My favourite online-shop usually ships as soon as they get the title, so I´m getting the delievery in general 2-4 days before the streetdate!

Often, retail sites post their dates way in advance, when it's not confirmed, and then sometimes they're slow to update. Especially at this time of year, when there more products out in the next two months than the rest of the year combined. I wouldn't rely on them for reliable release data, I'd go with whatever Sega Europe has announced, since if it changes they'll announce the change as soon as they can.

 

I havent been able to find any concrete release date for the UK at all, the US is getting it 30/10/07, so we should get it probably on 2nd Nov or 9th Nov at the latest. I would love for it to be like the Sega Rally release which the UK gets 10 days before the US.

 

26.10.07 is the officially by SEGA announced releasedate for europe!

 

Katsuro (and anyone else in the UK for that matter), if you're after an online game store in the UK that will probably have the game to you on the Thursday morning, then you could try Gameplay.co.uk. Whenever I've ordered new releases from them, they've always come early, and they're usually as cheap if not cheaper than on the high street.

That being said, I can't wait for it.

 

Does anyone know if the SEGA Virtua Stick HG for PS3 (USB) can work on XBox?

The one for 360 is a Hori, and I'm not sure how similar is that stick compared to Hori Fighting Stick for PS3.
Coz the SEGA stick is way better, for PS3 that is.

 

Ash_Kaiser - not used gameplay before, but you'd reckomend them yeah (as reliable as play, amazon etc and everything)? How early have they arrived? I'm just insanely impatient to get my hands on this game. Loved the old VF games but I've not played since 3 (didn't like the look of 4, though never played it) but 5 looks friggin' sweet. Practically wet myself when it was announced for the 360 lol.

 

I've used Gameplay several times. Gears of War, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Just Cause were all bought ahead of launch and all came on the day before street date release. Rumble Roses XX came 2 days ahead.

The only reason I haven't preordered it yet is because I'm hoping to get a job at a game shop (so that I don't have to spend most of my student loan this year), and if I get one there then I could hopefully get it the day it comes in.

I'm just hoping that the US VF5 stick will work on a UK 360, as my girlfriend in San Diego bought me one and posted it to me.

 

I believe the 360 can't tell which region its controllers are - they're universal.

The VSHG is currently recognised, is it? But I think that's a driver issue, which could be rectified with a software update from M$. Though I doubt they will.
