Unlocking colors in PS2 Evo

Well, i know this is a pretty lame topic and all, and no one wants to talk about dressing your characters up, but screw it, i don't have any Barbies. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Anyway, anyone with PS2 Evo by now has noticed that you gain a new color at 5th kyu and at 1st dan, and then again at Tsuwamono? The rest you buy in the shop. Except a few (which are, ironically, the coolest).

Rumor has it that after your 1000th loss, you get the black color. Can anyone confirm this? Anyone out there with PS2 Evo get the black color without losing 1000 matches? Because i don't think i can bear to sit through 1000 ass-beatings. Not that i'm all skilled or anything, but it's gonna take me a helluva long time to get 1000 losses. I'm just thinking that there may be an easier way.

Silver color i think is purchased in the shop, while white is given at Tsuwamono. I think. The deep red is unlocked in the shop after unlocking one of the arcades.

So any help here would be appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone knows where the red outfit can be found for Akira; I think it's somewhere in the 4th arcade-I have it it for Brad but can't recall where: call me lazy but I gotta study and stop playing- the red outfit has to be my final achievement (can't aim 2 high or exams will fail /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)
It's because Akira in red with the long blond hair reminds me of someone.. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

 

Ok I'm now exactly as far(or as short /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) with Akira as I am with Brad now and still no red costume, I thought with wat iI found here on the boards the colors weren't depending on the caracter-if ANYONE please can tell me where it is???
I only have to clear the 20 cons. wins and I am champion in every previous arcade, also cleared all the orders

 

i've gained <font color="red">red</font> color with Lion and Kage when i obtained WARRIOR rank. i think most of char. got this color on same conditions.

 

THX You're right-I just got to warrior and got the red color /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif-my Akira needed to look cool(exactly Ken from SF in 3D now-and not an ugly EX version /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) since I have to pass lot's of time in training-what's winning cheap against A.I. worth, when you're finding yourself in a real arcade for a change /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
