1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

So in the event that you happen to live in Germany and/or speak German, Fishie and I have some new published work coming in Man!ac magazine, and I can say that it will be relevant to the interests of people here. Here's a preview:

If you don't live in Germany, well... we've got an English version forthcoming shortly afterwards. We'll post it here for you as soon as it goes live - which shouldn't be too much longer. Some pretty good stuff about the design of VF5R in here, and we even asked the million-dollar question, though the response might not be completely satisfying. (It also got cut in the Man!ac print version. Booooooooo.)

Interesting. When will the print-version of Man!ac be available in Germany?

Can't imagine why they would want to interview with foreign media to discuss an arcade only release. Hmm, hmm. I mean it's possible, just a check up on what AM2 might be working on and what they're proud of etc. etc. But this to me is fairly promising.

    TOLL! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I'd imagine Blacklac's post is pretty much their response lol. Or something like 'well, we are considering, but aren't sure' or, 'It is possible, but won't be for some time' type of thing.

The thing is... well, it's a bit tough to explain here. Hopefully when it goes live everyone will be able to understand the VF5R port situation a little bit better.

^ I'll explain it for you.

I'll paraphrase for those who can't read Japanese.

AM2 interviewee pretty much says -

'Due to recent market trends, we will indeed be selling VF5:R on both console and PC in the western market. However, the home version is no longer a one on one fighter. We have adapted the VF cast and other VF lore into a fully functional MMORPG for our western consumers to fully enjoy'

    WTF!?!?!?!

Unless this is their way of saying "we're turning quest mode into a way to fight your peer" I'm very scared and don't really get wtf they mean. how do you turn a fighting game into an MMORPG? It's going to be on the PC what?

However that does make it a very strong possibility that it'll be for the xbox since the coding for the two is pretty similar.

    Thank You Jin...u rule /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

This is good news...it's coming home, and as long as there is a VS mode (which would be crazy not to include) it's all good! And I'm actually interested to see the RPG elements; although, I don't expect anything good.

...me feels wetarded...funny how you will believe anything when you want something so bad (and I gave you a thumbs up man /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif )

We figured that when he somehow translated German like it was Japanese.

I know there have been attempts at MMO fighting games. They've all stunk so far, for obvious reasons.

Yeah sorry, bad joke lol. Wasn't trying to fool or trick anyone either, nor was I taking away from the magazine's interview if it was taken that way, so I apologize-
