I read in some US game magazine that the US version of Evo will be released as a "Greatest Hits" title, which means it will be just $20.

I fear this also means little to no marketing for the game (I'm also wondering if the original VF4 will be dis-continued?).

I heard 30$ and that it was one of the conditions Sony set to have it released.

Does that mean that it'll have that damn "greatest hits" red banner plastered across the box. I love getting games for lower prices...but dang. I'd rather see the nice "packaging" rather than that stupid "banner".

Is this only for the US? What about other territories?

As far as I know ( I pre-ordered my copy a few weeks back ) it's £40 over here ,the standard going price for ps2 games though I don't know what the box will look like yet and vf4 is now £20 though I doubt it'll be discontinued.

Can you tell me what magazine you got this information from?

It was in Game Informer. Seems strange info though considering it still isn't listed as an E3 title yet. I expect it to be 40.00 or thereabouts.

Not worried about Evo at E3 anymore. I'm confident it'll be there or at least announced there. I am however very interested in Mario Kart GC. I hope they show me loads of footage of it.

I don't normally revel in speculation, but according to Voodoo Extreme, who point to an article on Games_are_Fun, who in turn credit GameFront with first reporting that in the lastest issue of Dorimaga Sega says any American release of Evo is dependent on interest shown from the fanbase.

Depending on how long ago this statement was taken it could imply that an American release is still up in the air. Although I am hoping against hope, despite Sega's E3 lineup list lacking Evo, that we'll get something this year. At least we have Billy Hatcher!

I'm with replicant give me Mario Kart /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif and I'll import Evo if I have too /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif. And as for fan interest I email those hosers every week, I sent a couple of letters to that marketing guy. I started a petition. I've done everything short of calling them up and asking them....maybe I should try that.

Jeeze what do they want a blood drive for Evo's release?

With regards to Mariokart on GC, its nice to see that Nintendo finaly managed to get that N64 emu running in high res /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thats a bit harsh, it doesnt look that bad, but still its leagues behind Starfox Armada(Namco)and FZero(Amusement Vision/Sega)

Agreed F-Zero looks amazing bur Mario games always seem to sell well.Is it something about the moustache or what?.....

Mario games usually possess something that F-Zero hasn't possessed since the days of SNES. ...Fun. /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

This FZero is made by Toshiro Nagoshi who hasnt made a crap game yet.
His credits include Daytona USA, Scud Race/Sega GT, Monkey Ball and Spikeout.

I have full faith that he will deliver a game Nintendo can only dream of achieving.

IMO, Super Monkey Ball is the only title out of those worth a crap.

Quite honestly the only reason I've goy a GC is cos' of the REs Evil updates/new games and zelda ( though I'll admit I'm a mario fan as well ). /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Its Super GT not Sega GT, my bad and if you think games like Super GT and Spikeout are anything less then excellent you need a quick trip to a voodoo doctor since obviously nothing else will work on youre sick little mind.
