I noticed this a while ago, and perhaps the question has already been answered.

What are the little icons that appear below people's names that we see often in Japanese clips?

According to jiro, some of them are clan symbols.

Others have it just for fun (cause they are sooooo cute ah)

 

They're all team emblems. I don't believe there's one you get unless you're in a team, except for the trophy.

The trophy, shows that you're ranked either Number 1 (gold) 2 (silver) or 3 (bronze) for the game center that you've set as "My Arcade".
