El Blaze is a luchadore. Unlike Wolf he counts on quick attacks and fast movement. He has a variety of throws too but they arn't as damaging as Wolf's... His combos don't drain too much either: Blaze is meant to keep the pressure on the opponent using fast moves and his Rocket Discharge stance.

You can enter Rocket Discharge after some moves by simply hitting [6]... This really allows you to keep the pressure on your opponent...

The Darkness Smash comes out slowly, but if it hits the
catch throw is very damaging... If you hit this with your
opponent's back to the wall you will get a wall stagger...
If not you can still Discharge to put the pressure on...

If [K]+[G] hits you get a nitaku between throw and [3][K]...
If that [3][K] hits and you get a side crumple you can
    use [3][P]+[K][P][K].

His Day Job throw from Rocket Discharge stance is his most damaging and coolest looking throw. You'd be surprised how often you can hit opponents with it...

    Thx so much supergolden.

VF5 forum's been too quiet, and I'm glad you're willing to share with us what you've been learning.

I'm gonna try El Blaze once I get my hand on VF5!

He needs a move called "Burning Discharge."

Maybe it could look like Lion's old [9][P]+[G]

El Blaze's [7]+[K] (a cartwheel away from the opponent) can hit the opponent causing a stagger... This is a great time to hit [6] to Discharge and put the pressure on the opponent...

I've tried a billion different moves but can't find his attack to spike opponents... In the mean time I've been using [4]+[K][P][P] if I get a side crumple...

    After his low throw
[2][P]+[K]+[G] you can hit [4]+[K][P][P] for a lot of damage, perhaps more than his [3][3] low throw....

    15. Opponent crouched [2][P]+[K]+[G] [4][K][P][P]
    16. Any side stun [3][P]+[K][P] [6][P][K]

While standing [K] on normal hit, against all but heavy weights 1 is the standard combo, against Jeffrey only 1 [6_][P]. Against Wolf go straight into the [6][P][K]. 3 is the combo you want to go for against Light weights and Brad. The biggest damage combo 4 works in open stance against Eileen, Aoi, Pai and against Aoi it will also work in closed stance.
After [2_][6][P]+[K] combo 5 will work. Combo 6 works on light weights except for Aoi, and Brad, Lei, Lion and Law, and in open stance Aoi, Blaze, Shun and Jacky. In closd stance, it will connect on heavy weights. Counter hit [6][K] into combo 8 is the standard. Against Akira, heavy weights[6][P][K] will connect. The trick with combos 9 and 10 is to dash slightly before the [2][P]. 9 works against light weights and Lau, combo 10 is for Eileen, Pai and Aoi only. In either case, if the distance is far they can be difficult. After [8][P]+[K], [7][P]+[K] is recommended. Against Eileen, Aoi, Pai, Blaze and Lion, combo 11 is guaranteed.
After Fake roll [P] hit [K] hits, against all but heavy weights 12 is the basic, hold [6_][P]. Combo 13 will work on light weights as well as in open stnace Blaze, Goh, Brad and Jacky (normal hit).
After opponent crouched [2][P]+[K]+[G], on heavy weights [K]+[G] is recommended, otherwise combo 14 for the other characters. When you get a side stun. [4][K][P][P] is guaranteed. 16 works on light and middle weights except for Akira, but depending on foot stance and hte position of the crumple there are times when it won't work. The ones who it is reliable against are light weights other than Sarah, Brad, Lei and Lion.

    Re: VF5 El Blaze Combos

Have someone taken a look at the last round of this match?

I know I'm a beginner and I haven't seen many good matches, but in that last round El Blaze chained together a mix of crumples and staggers onto Jeffrey (maybe he's bad at struggling) for a really scary amount of damage; I was thinking "If this can combo just 1/3rd of the time, El Blaze is really overpowered ..."

Please somebody tell me that the combination can be struggled out of by a more-than-decent player.

    Re: VF5 El Blaze Combos

    That combo is not guaranteed...

First, the move that starts that combo ([4][3][P]+[K]) is really slow... I've hit it about once or twice during actual matches....

After that move you can go into Rocket Discharge while the opponent is struggling / at a disadvantage... The opponent has to guess right to escape damage, but its not guaranteed...

And at the end Jeffery could have teched the second hit of the elbow knee...

Yes... The command is [P]+[K]+[G] (where you see him swerve, which can sebaki some attacks)... During this you hit [K] and if that hits you can hit [P]+[G] for the Pelé kick...

El Blaze's spike re-float move might be his jumping elbow, [9][P], although I can't get it out when the opponent is staggered because it registers as his [8][P] pounce (since the opponent is considered a down state)... I tried [G] canceling, holding [9_], anything to get this to come out but with no luck...

Rumor has it that in Revision A he will be given a new (useable) spike re-float move...

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday completely by accident! I forget how I got him up in the air, but the bounce came as a nice surprise!

Version B allows for slightly different combos than the ones above; I plan on reporting my findings once I do a bit more testing regarding weight class.

INFORCER07, you mind posting some of the setups you've found? I'm really interested!
