[IMG]It has been recently announced that Spectator passes have sold out for this year's EVO, and many VF fans think this means they cannot enter the VF5FS tournament.

    That is not the case!

Spectator passes are only required for Sunday, and 95% of the VF5FS tournament will be held on the Friday and Saturday. Only the final 3 in the bracket will need to play on Sunday, and SEGA will ensure they are able to enter the venue, even if they don't have a spectator pass.

This has been officially communicated by SEGA, so hopefully this clears things up once and for all!

      Haha.

I'll just say that the timing for EVO, for me, sucks. I bought my pass in the hopes I could make some magic happen but it is looking more and more like that won't work out.

Anyway in about a week I'll know for sure and if I cannot make it my pass will be available.

I didn't get a pass knowing this. It's a waste of money when I'm going to be in the finals anyways, this is now confirmed by SEGA. >:j

      From the Eventbrite info:
"The Evo Expo floor and BYOC are open to the public on Friday and Saturday. If you’re only attending on Friday and Saturday, Evo is free to attend. If you would like to compete in any of the official Evo tournaments or attend the Grand Finals on Sunday, you will need to purchase either a Spectator or a Competitor pass."

      ._.

I wish I had read this before buying a tourney-only ticket because I thought I needed it to get into the main Hall on Friday and Saturday. I still want a Spec. Pass to see the finals in person on Sunday, lol. If I can pick up a Spec. Pass I'll be selling this tourney pass, if anyone needs one to enter any other game.
