These are verified methods of earning most of Vanessa's Items. Unlisted items have not been confirmed as of yet. If you have any contributions, please reply to this topic.

**Default character appearances for most of Vanessa's items is necessary. Do not equip any additional items other than the ones mentioned. Try not to win with Ring Outs or Time Outs unless stated. (100 streak item does not apply.)

Also, you don't have to win the match to get an item. (ie. If you want to get the Rose Tattoo and the Hero's Insignia, you can just keep getting hit by Sarah's Gatling Kick Beat until you lose. You'll get them anyway.)

All these methods can be done in VERSUS Mode.

Use Charge Attacks for the entire round. [ie. Bone Crush Middle (df+K). Be sure to charge the move.]

Hemp Cap
Use Punch Attacks frequently. *See VanessaNote1.

Knit Cap
Use Punch Attacks frequently. *See VanessaNote1.

Cowboy Hat
Perform Evade Attacks frequently. *See VanessaNote2.

Army Beret
Defeat "Snakebite" in Kumite Mode. (7th Dan, 2P outfit)

Gold Circlet
Achieve 2 consecutive excellent victories.

Sapphire Circlet
Win 3 consecutive matches with the Gold Circlet equipped.

Bandit's Mask
Escape Throws frequently. *See VanessaNote3.

Gas Mask
With you back to your opponent, use the Elbow (P+K) for 8 rounds.

Yellow Sunglasses
Perform Reversals frequently.

Black Sunglasses
Win 5 consecutive matches with the Black Beret equipped.

Goggles
Guard many combos and strike attacks. *See VanessaNote4.

Pink Tuft Earring
Escape Throws frequently...possibly against only Aoi. *See VanessaNote3.

Crystal Earring
Cause massive damage to the Temple Stage floor with the Pink Tuft Earring equipped.

NECK 1P Only

TO KEEP this item, I was at 6th Dan, and won the 2 consecutive matches, each within 10 seconds. Try this.

Old Hockey Mask
TO GET this item, get hit by many consecutive combos. I used Pai's wall combo. K, (bounce off wall), P,P,P,K, - d + K,K. I did that 3 times.
TO GET RID of this item, win a match without getting hit by combos.
TO KEEP this item, I was 6th Dan, and won the match within 10 seconds. Try this.

ORB ITEMS (Head)

*VanessaNote1: Both the Hemp Cap and the Knit Cap can be acquired at the same time. Hit the enemy with a variety of punches. Try not to perform any combos, just strike attacks. Make sure you use ONLY punches.

*VanessaNote2: The Cowboy Hat and the Hand Grenades can be acquired at the same time. In a 3 round match, do nothing but Evade Attacks and try to achieve 1 excellent round.

*VanessaNote3: The Bandit's Mask and the Pink Tuft Earring can be acquired at the same time. Try to escape more than 20 throws.

*VanessaNote4: The Goggles and the Leather Choker can be acquired at the same time. Guard about 20 P,P,P,K combos.

Wow! Thanks for all the info.

However, I'm having difficulty achieving her short hair (#1 on the list). Has anyone else got her short hair by this method? It doesnt work for me.

It worked for me in Kumite. If you're trying it in VS, perhaps you could increase the time for the round so you can execute the move more often. I probably landed it about 25 times total in the three rounds in Kumite. HTH.
