VFDC's Official KILLZONE 2 Media Orgy Thread

Single Player NDA has been lifted from the media, and now tons of videos and impression's are OUT. Being part of the KZ2 MP beta, all I could say, the game is about to live up to the Hype and then some. Not only did Guerrilla Games deliver on the the target render, but surpassed it. It was worth the wait. Guerrilla Games, I salute you on shutting up the haters in the biz and giving them the biggest F U, props. Enjoy folks.

Shit they had 3 years. This shit still looks so so. I seen a multiplayer vid and it was kinda Meh!....

 

I was in the Beta, nothing was "so so" on what I play in the past few weeks. No console game looks like this, and by that I mean, on the graphics, not art direction(People get it confuse with graphics sometimes, lol)

The spawning in MP is something other games are going to do. There's no stupid A.I spawning in the campaign like other FPS games tend to do(COD4 *Cough*)

The MP leveling and teamwork is very similar to Team Fortress 2(Because of the classes) and COD4 ranking system, but more rewarding.

See the videos that I posted above. This game is no joke. The only thing that comes close is Crysis on the PC(High end)and that's even debatable. The engine that GG's build is fucking no joke.

SDS, I'm telling you, your going to dig it.

This is probably the most amp I'm gonna get for an FPS in this day and age. LIMIT BREAK!

 

I've been keeping my eye on Guerilla since KZ1. In no small part due to a bit of nationalistic pride. And I've been really amazed with the press KZ2's been getting. Even Penny-Arcade gave it a good write-up and they usually don't muck around.

I've got to keep myself from buying into the hype too dearly, but right now I'd say this one looks very promising indeed. Haven't been this interested in a shooter since CoD4.

Aside:
It really put me off that they took out the segmented lifebar in Resistance 2. One of the original's finest features, the best compromise between a static number and full regen I've seen so far, and they just took it out!? That lot must've gone crazy or something. Somebody please adopt that system, it needs to be saved from the terror of generic-shooterism.
