Ishin Like A Dragon is incredibly successful. The Judgment games, The Yakuza games are all money makers for Sega/RGG Studios

Will Sega even green light a budget for the Virtua Fighter series?

Is Seiji Aoki pulling our chains and shining us on with talk about a new Virtua Fighter?

 

SEGA fucked that up already with VF5US.

PlayStation only game (PS4 graphics not next gen no 4k) for "SEGA" 60th Anniversary, less content than VF5FS, no rebalancing, no new characters, chaotic launching and chaotic online for the first 2 months, bad netcode, no wifi and no ping indicators ...

Even if the game had great art style (for characters select screen, for stages and costumes), had great musics, had great menus, had a great intro ... That's clearly not enough for VF, in 2024.

This game had his peak on Twitch with 170 streamers and 28k viewers. That's huge numbers !

What a missed opportunity for a VF comeback.
