Rumor has it that Sega has been working on a new Virtua Fighter project that has been kept under wraps since 2021. If or before anything's unveiled, there's some things that I wouldn't mind seeing.

    Characters

I can see Sega/RGG making at least 5-10 new characters within 3-4 seasons. Sega always had a thing for adding 2 new characters to each game they made, so this time around, they should consider the characters that they scrapped such as Siba, the Arabian fighter and Jeff, (change his name plz) the military combatant. I never knew why they didn't add these characters to VF5 Ultimate Showdown, Dural, or the face of Judgement 6. It'd be nice to see these characters in the next installment. Because VF doesn't have necessarily a big roster, I'd only prefer one guest character per season.

Fighting styles that I'd love to see:

Capoeira - Some don't think that VF doesn't need a Capo user because Eddy Gordo is the best all around and they would be copying Tekken. But what they aren't aware of is the fact that Tekken has been copying Virtua Fighter since the beginning of time. Who knows...maybe it's time for Sega to take a page out of Namco's book. I'd also like to add that it would be even more interesting if the user combined Capoeira with Taido just to be unique.

Boxing - Another martial art that some fans aren't too sure about being in VF due to Brad Burns, but I can assure you that it's possible. The character could be a regular boxer boxer but for me personally, I'd prefer it if he/she were a dirty boxer. Seeing how Vanessa plays, I believe giving the boxer original brawler and counter puncher stances would steer him/her away from the Brad Show's play style. I also like to say in my honest opinion, Sega should consider making be of Japanese origin, to express their pride and glory in two time undisputed champion, Naoya Inoue.

Wing Chun - The one and only martial art in history created by a famous legend named Ng Mui. Namco did a DAMN good job developing Tekken's Leroy Smith, one my current favorites in Tekken 8, but I believe Sega can exceed them in this department if they also made their own character and made her a female as well! If they go this route, pay that homage, Sega and bring the heat!!

Tang Soo Do - We've witnessed the aggressive style of Korea's popular martial art through Sarah Bryant known as Taekwondo. But did y'all know about Tang Soo Do? This martial art is mostly known as a Taekwondo and Karate hybrid, which mostly used for defensive purposes. I overall wouldn't a fighter of with this fighting style to keep Aoi Umenokoji company in the defensive fighters department. =D

Taido - If people would say no to Capoeira being in VF, then a Taido practitioner could possibly be the answer to Tekken's Eddy Gordo. Some characters specialize at striking low, and some excel striking high. But what if we had a fighter that are experts at striking at half or even full circular motion? Sounds pretty broken, but I'm pretty sure Sega will found a way to balance it out!

I'll go over some things that i want to see to see in the game later besides characters, or maybe someone here will beat me to it. Share what ya'll want In Virtua Fighter 6

  2. I think have the arenas' outlines just don't be simple shapes, like for example, an aquarium stage can have tanks that don't have to be located only on the outline of stage. The tanks can act as walls themselves.

Story wise for lau, if he's dead or no longer able to fight, introduce as his replacement ryu from the 90's anime. He's Pai's arranged fiance if I im correct.

Have the option for arcade more to be able mix characters and stages, rather than having to fight characters in a certain order in only their respective stages.

Even if it's through dlc, include classic outfits for characters.

In the lead up to game's launch, have a demo that includes full access to tutorial to help new players and reacquaint old ones. Then after launch, replace with a free to play version.

    Thoughts?

I never saw the anime but i heard it's alright. Lau carries the best story in the series imo. I made fanfic a couple of years back where there was an African American inspired by Kung Fu Kenny (Rush Hour 2) and Carl Scott. Take a look at Carl Scott when you have the time...this guy's leopard style kung fu is legit!

A military brat that lived in China since birth. He witnessed Lau's intense training session for hours and tried mimicking his techniques, which annoyed Lau. One day, Lau overexertion combined with his terminal causes him to collapse.

Lau being carried by the young man, tells him to carry him back to his secret resting grounds. Two days later, Lau awakes and finds the young man reading the his scrolls and is amazed that he's able to decipher scrolls poetry and understand the art of Koen Ken. The young man pleads to be his disciple and much to Lau's annoyance decides to him teach him the basics of the Tiger Swallow Fist.

After months of training, the young man is ready to take his training to the next level, but Lau denies and forbids him from using the Kokkei. He instead encourages fight him in the World Tournament and if he is able to defeat Pai Chan, he will continue instructing him.

I'd also like to add that imho, the player shouldn't have access to anything besides Dojo and training mode at launch. The dojo mode should teach the player the basics/fundamentals' of the game and once finished, you're promoted from beginner to kyu and now you'll have access to Arcade, Casual, Rank, Quest etc.

    In depth training mode.

A large single player mode with a variety of interesting AI.

Arcade mode with a scoring system, and leader boards for score and time for each character and difficulty setting.

    Rollback netcode.

Novel unranked options like slow motion and zero recovery frames.

Lots and lots of cosmetic customization options.

No meter! If the game should be made more casual, simply get rid of weight and stance specific combos.

Rework mechanics like stagger recovery that require spazzing out on the controller.

A unique art style that steers away from realism but compliments fighter movement.

    At least two new characters.

    Don't change Lei-Fei's stances.

PC release. I'm not paying Sony to rent online features.

At no point should the cost of the game + the cost of all DLC be more than $60 ($70?).

    No product placement or ads.
