i hope they make 360 sticks, because i'm one of the unfortunate souls who bought a japanese copy of the game before it came out here and ended up short of being able to buy them back in the day.

Can't wait for this! I wonder if it'll be possible to use the DC twinsticks with this? Otherwise, the Xbox gamepad will have to suffice.

Supposedly Chu Chu Rocket (it was only a matter of time before it came), Jet Set Radio (make a new one!) and Sonic Shuffle are headed there as well, and they're said to be the first, so we may be seeing more old Sega games revived.

Virtual On always was awesome. Well, Marz wasn't that good, but the others were.

I'm in agreement with those who want to be able to use the DC twinsticks on the 360, although I'd prefer not having to mod mine.

i honestly wouldn't count on being able to use dc sticks via an adapter or something. microsoft didn't care about steel battalion owners getting left behind in the transition to 360.

I used to own this game, as a matter of fact I think I still do(JP version). I really liked it and always wanted to learn it, but due to the heavy amount of JP text and NO one to play with my venture into this mech game was short lived. I'll most likely pick this up and hopefully someone can show me the ropes.

You'll have me and Rheinaoi to teach you how to play Rod.

I think I brought this news about VO:OT first at vfhome. I heard about it from SRK.

I checked Sega.com site to see if they had any news about it and I found that Outrun is coming to Xbox Live arcade!

yeah I heard about outrun sometime ago. It would be cool if it was multiplayer, but I don't think so. I think it's just an enhanced port.

    Where's VF3TB or VF4:EVO / FT sega?

outrun will have 6 person multiplayer over xbl. Outrun 2 and 2006 for xbox also had multi, IIRC. Can't vouch for local, though.

Anyway, VOOT is gonna be amazing. can't wait!

are they going to enhance VOOT for HD or just port it?

Supposedly it's getting a Widescreen HD upgrade to put it on par with the arcade. plus it's a port of the final arcade version 5.65 which features 3 extra characters that weren't in the DC, which was only version 5.45.

    VOOT VOOT VOOT!

VO is much more my game that VF; I play VF casually, but I played VOOT like a maniac when it appeared in Singapore in 1998 (one of the few VOOT machines to make it outside Japan).

The scene died down after about 5 years on, and I haven't seen any of the hardcore VOOT players for a long long while. At least I have the RNA soundtrack (the only DNA music I like is Temjin's Soldier Blue) and VOOM PC to keep the memories alive, but they are no substitute for a real working VOOT cabinet (the last one in good condition disappeared from the arcade at Paradiz Center some time last year *cries*).

VO:OM for PC is ancient news.

Did anyone play VO Marz (or whatever it was called) on the PS2? I heard they dumbed down the controls/gameplay significantly, but I'm also curious (and concerned) at how the two analog sticks handle for the controls.
