What's the story on Chibitaro?

Saw this kid on the Black Book DVD and his Jeffry was pretty fun to watch!

I did a search on VFDC and all I know now is that he's 8 years old.

Is there any particular story on him? What got him into VF (the general popularity, maybe his Dad?), if anyone's training him, etc...

Just some kid who has a knack for playing VF.

Good enough to beat the top US players that challenged him even back in the days.

I'm sure he has only gotten better since then.

 

When I was in Japan for the beattribe vf4: evo tourney a few years back, we got to meet him. Adamyuki and him did a mirror match with Jeffery and it was pretty fun to watch. I think Chibitaro won 3-1. He seems to play without a lot of speed and the next thing you know, he's got you in a splash mountain. Technically he can throw escape very well.

Funny side story... me and akebono got a picture with him. Then we asked him to take a picture with a bunch of gaijins. He had to ask his mother if he could. The mother came up to us and asked us who we were and why we wanted to take a picture with her 8 year old son. hahahahhaha Needless to say we didn't get to take a group pic.

 

Apparently the story is that his dad got into playing VF and then his son started playing it as well. Is he 8 now? i thought he was 8 years old back during the Evolution/Final Tuned days... I figured he'd be like 11 or so right now.

 

He seems like he's 10/11 years old now. Think I got 8-years old because I probably mistook an old post for a more recent one. It was probably in reference to the story you guys are talking about.

BTW, love the story. I know I missed out on a lot the past few years, glad you guys are retelling some stories ^_^

Chibitarou is 11 years old. This video confirmed his age.

 

Hey, that's Lupin! Cool guy. He came down in one of the 1st encounters with Kyasao, Shinjuku jacky and SHU. He is a riot man, I remember making him laugh with my impression of biohazard zombies.
