The Austin crew will do our best to rep central texas. And i'm pretty sure the Dallas crew will be going as well. For us, there will likely be 4 at least, if not more.

PS the team tourneys with 4 on 4 look awesome.

 

Hell, I might drive from Ohio to be there so you can almost count me in.

Where exactly are they holding this event anyway? I hope it's close by where I used to live.

 

well EC4 and EC4.5 was in LA, but i think EC3 was in texas. Considering it seems that tom might be handling a lot of the brunt work, maybe its gonna be in LA again. California that is.

 

After searching the TZ thread, I found out it's near Huntington Beach. I'm considering a trip out there. I haven't been back in L.A. in almost 3 years. /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

there was a vf4 (not evo)tournament at ec4 too, but the korean (madogjin) who came over to compete in t4 won the vf4 event as well as winning the t4 tournym not too sure about the comp in the us, iz it good?

 

I would say that the skill level in Southern California as a whole has gone up since then. Also, since SoCal was defeated at TiT5, I would say that competitors elsewhere in the US have an even higher skill level. To further confuse things, some of those competitors went to Korea and lost. However, all of us can probably play VF better than dead people in Greenland.

I think it's hard to answer your "iz it good?" question as good is a relative term.

Come to EC5 and find out.

Dude those corpses are tricky though. I had like a 30 game losing streak before I learned to adapt to their machi tactics. I eventually posted some good wins though and now I'm pretty confident I can hold my own at any graveyard or mosoleum outside of Japan or maybe Korea.

Forgive me if this has been posted already, but when is EC5?

 

Yeah the undead can only do double throw escapes and modified single palms, so they're pushovers.

As for the date, I heard it's end of july/early august. I'm hoping it will be first week of august... already have my vacation slotted, lol.
