Who's looking forward to Phantasy Star Portable 2?

I just tried the demo for this upcoming PSP game which was released on today's US PSN, the demo packs in quite a bit, online multiplayer, a chunk of story mode. Any thoughts from anyone?

 

I thoroughly enjoyed the first game so I'm looking forward in the second one. I'm glad that they improved the (outdated) gameplay and adding some cool stuff.

Though I wonder if they are going to include the licensed (Fate/Stay Night, Vocaloid etc.) costumes & weapons...

 

I might get it, those guys were responsible for PSZ for the NDS... Glad they added a tech roll and the gunblades weren't bad for new weapons...

 

I played an awful lot of PSO but I don't think I could play it on a handheld. Just wouldn't feel the same.

I really wish they'd make another installment of the Phantasy Star Series though. It's been far too long since I've heard people argue about Noah/Lutz/Rune.

I also played a few hunderd hours of PSO and I thought pretty much the same.
I´ve never played the PSP ones yet, but PSZ is awesome and if you have some friends to play with, I recommend you to give it a try.

Im not sure if I´ll buy Portable 2, I guess it will depent on my friends. If they buy it, I´ll give it a try.

 

u can play online with the demo, i tried it, not bad.

 

Can't play the demo since my PSP still has the old 32MB memory card and I'm out of space. Looking forward to the game though, I've clocked so many hours on PSO and the first Phantasy Star Portable. And I've heard this game is very close to being PSO good and a tons better than PSU.

 

I'm thinking about playing this, since I played the original, AOI and the DS version a lot. But I may pass because I don't want to give up my custom firmware on my first gen PSP This version of PSU looks like it will be a f*ing blast though.

I have another PSP laying around somewhere, so if I can locate it then I'll just update that one and purchase the game. I love the Phantasy Star series, both the online stuff and the old RPGs from back in the days.

If I get it and head online I'll hit up this thread.

 

Sounds good to me, looking forward to getting it myself. got kind of bored of the demo, already at max level (15), and have tons of meseta.

 

Sorry guys but Phantasy Star is a bit boring. The game needs dashing abilities like Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2.

 

Hey guys, just wanted to let u know that from now until Jan 3rd, PSP2 is $16, it's usually $40, so you'll be spending only less than half price which is a great deal on a great game. I'm really liking it, and for those of u that played the demo, and if u have not known already, u can import ur data from the trial version to the main game. It's so much fun, also if I can figure out how to trade player cards with u guys for those of u that have it, I wouldn't mind playing online with any of u.
