Im sure you all deeply admire some vf "pro" in particular, My vote goes for chibita, and zero-9 because that guide really helped my game....

What's the point of this post? Anyway... for instance, I admire no one - not even the 'almighty chibita' :p I haven't played him, so I don't know if he's really good or not. IF I ever play him, get destroyed or whatever, then MAYBE I'll think the admiration over. Maybe. Stop with the fucking cult already, fanboys.

Actually GLC I think his question is justified to some extent. It may not be a very deep question but, I can sincerely say that there are some players I do admire like Muscles Sarah for example, purely for being good enough with Sarah to gain a reputation and thus encouraging others to use her. That's about it though, I do tip my hat to UK-guy and Ryan Heart (Arguably the best players in the UK).

The topic is not character constructive nor is it unrelated to VF so it does have a right to be here albeit it won't last long.

I personally admire ShinZ and MoonSuk. I think their method of playing Akira is unreal. They can react to attacks I would have never seen coming. Seeing them in action inspires me to get better with Akira.

Although I'm very flattered you think that, I'm no such thing. Ryan is very good, as is Dai. I'd put them two in the top UK bracket. Then you have Hat's Lau, Marcs Wolf and J's Akira all coming on strong. But alas I think the VF scene here is not as strong as it could be, only verB in arcade, no sign of finished evo etc. You can only be as good as your opponents alow you to be, and although the competition here can be good, it is few are far between, and we are always behind on the latest version of the game.

Mow if we were to live in an environment that mirrored the intensity of the Jap scene than it would be a different matter. Still Adio you should be happy that Sarah has been given a significant boost in Evo /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

    I dun have heroes..
What I do have are fav players that I will never get bored of watching.

    Akira: Nagato/Hanami
    Lei: Joe
    Shun: Shu
Wolf: Bun Bun Maru ( I really love his gamble style)
    Lau: Edo
    Jacky: Arashi
Jeff: Akuma no Shogun/chibitaro(com on, gotta support the kid!)
    Pai: Aopai/Goro nisen sai

However, on the top of the list is the one person who inspires me more than anyone else.

    K.Y.A.S.A.O ( Kage n Jeff)

Shun and Aoi players who rip the ass out of everyone. I like
Magoja on Magoja.com just because the guy sounds like he's having a
ball, and Lau is kind of like Godzilla to those folks, they've seen him knock
down the buildings before, many times, and still love it. GaijinPunch is
a guy I admire for cheerleading Shun and Aoi and getting me into them.

I personally find Napolean's Jacky from the Zepp Tokyo tourney to be my hero. He just got it done in that tourney. Jacky POWER.

From my brief visit in Japan, the player that I was most impressed with is Heruru. He is a Lei Fei player and unfortunately is not featured in clips much, but his Lei Fei is quite amazing. He personally kicked my ass several times. The most impressive thing about him, however, is his ability to excel with all the characters. I remember him buying a card for several characters during EVO testing and immediately racking up 20+ wins--and these wins weren't against scrubs either.

Two_Bit_Mage: I thank you for a half, if "zero-9" is half me.

Heruru is reigning FV2 champion, I might add. He still plays it fairly regularly. I am probably going to be meeting up with him shortly.
