XBL ranks (the way the should be listed)

Last week I saw that there was now another Conqueror besides Erica Fontaine. He's Korean. So I decided to put a list together of the highest ranked players on XBL as of mid January. This was done rather hastily, and I was primarily focused on the highest 3 tiers. I may have missed someone in the lower tiers, but when I started getting down past 1500 players on the XBL vs. ranking pages I noticed a few players that had attained high ranks in relatively few games and thought they were worth mentioning here. In particular, check out FIFA09EAKR01, Yamachan jun, and Ikatama below.

I wish I was still high ranked so I could force Shang to play and then demote him. DAMN YOU ADAM!!!

Aside from that think im totally done with rank until the next virtua fighter. Everytime I play it's against pullers and/including addypaddy and a bunch of "not all that great" players.

LOL at bunbunmaru. something isn't right there. Im surprised It's cool to see Myke as a master.

Side note: WAaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day, nearly a year ago, when i first got on, i got owned by a korean 90% win shun play ranked at conquerer, still have it saved to my hard drive.....wonder if it is our korean conquerer here?

Plus i think me and Gentlemen thief are both raiders, which is a joke, b/c everyone knows i am on another level from him...wait, i got that backwards, haha. srsly, he beats me 10-1, its absurd. i hate him /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif if it was more even he'd be my arch nemesis....but.....its not close enough.

 

I didn't mean to disrespect you or any other Raider (or any other high ranked player) not listed. I applaud you reaching that rank. (I never will.) The list was really something I did real quickly last night before going to bed. I was mainly focused on the top 2 tiers. (Cong/Dest/Lib then Vanq/Bers/Pal) The lower ranked players I've sited are ones that stuck out to me as I scrolled down the points based ranking on XBL, meaning they played fewer games and thus usually a higher win percentage to attain the VF rank they had.

711-58 against asian competition! That still blows my mind, and he's propably powning people in FIFA09 right now =)

I think it is worthwhile to make a list of everyone ranked above War/Hunt/Def, but that wasn't my goal here. And the only reason I wouldn't include Hunters and Defenders is because their really are a lot of them. There are a heap of Defenders and Masters.

 

I probably couldve been here when I was at Sentinel rank with less than 1000 total matches played. I was so close, to being the only Protector I've ever seen online, I even tried to intentionally keep my percentage down so I could get Protector and not Assassin.

But yeah uh, cause of my shitty play, I basically had put my rank down the drain.

Major props to Denkai, Jhow, and Konjou for being vultures on my shit though. =\

 

you can check online records for a lot of stuff myke. just load up the disc and make sure ure connected to xbl.

YEah, i found the answer when i reread your post. like a said, it took me 5000+ games. I too have went through to see all the low match high rank players before /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Rather fun.

 

To look at rankings yourself, go to vf.net --> rankings (I believe) You need to be signed in to XBL. Hit start to change the list. There are videos of the fastest command attack and arcade mode clearances... some are pretty phenomenal IMO.

I'm still fighting ranking because there aren't as many people playing right now... I just look for the best connections and hope the person I'm fighting has some sort of clue. (I also tend to do terrible against someone I fight multiple times in a row. I'll lose 5-6 in a row because they figure something out in my game and I can never adjust immediately. I'm the kind of guy who needs to meditate a few minutes on what's happening to fix my tactics.) I feel I do much better in 1 off encounters.

I need 2 wins against 10th dans to become a Defender, but there are precious few 10th dans right now. There are a bunch of 7th to 9th dans that just keep slapping each other around. No one is stepping up their game to make it out of the quagmire.

If I have some more time, and someone else doesn't do it first (hint-hint) I'll go thru and include the lower ranks... I'm curious to see where guys like JHow, GentlemanThief, and Rodnutz ended up too.

Also, besides BUNBUNMARU, I believe IKESARAH(Defender) is Ikeburu Sarah. Are there any other famous VF players that played ranking? Does anyone know what aliases they used if they did? It'd be cool to find out how they did against the kiddies online.

 

If I get around to making a proper ranking list, I'll chk out the command time attack leaders too, and post the leaders.

Prime, if you're not #1 for Wolf you're in the top 3. I believe Denkai/Black Baur was in the top 10 for 3 different characters (Kage, Jacky, Shun?) the last time I looked.

Is anyone on VFDC interested in arcade mode time attack? The only time I played arcade mode was to unlock all the achievements.

 

Not very famous, but I did see Ria444 for sure, when I first started playing and I'm not so sure, but I think I saw fernandio31 too.

Both are Sarah players, except I saw Ria444 playing using Jeffry at the time.

as a sidenote though: I remember when the game first came out there was a TON of Jeffry, Wolf, Vanessa, Goh, and Akira onlne. Gotta get that quick rookie damage win.

If Templario is not in the top 3 tiers and he played over say 2000 matches, then he didn't make my first cut at this. Read the beginning of my original post.

I wish i would've played ranked from jump then i would've higher with all the competition when the game first dropped. I sat on master for the longest at like 295 wins IIRC. I caked up on victories because i was hosting trying to find a 10th dan to no avail lol!

haha, no sypmathy from me. i was stuck on master for over 2000 wins!! But on the brightside, if i woulda franked up from the git, i woulda surely demoted right after wards. skill wize i was improving for all 2000+ wins, so when the stars aligned to let me rank up, i was good enough that i didn't get instantly demoted. not that brisal didn't try, lol.
