Would you mind giving a bit more detail? The blasted thing costs 800 ms points and I, like an idiot spent 150 ms points on a gamer picture pack when I knew this was coming eventually... So now I have 650 ms points gathering dust till the end of the month. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

if you like the old school SF (with no Super, Alpha, 3 in the title) then this for you.

Lag is there but i would say 75% of the games are lag free. Just find the non lagger then add them to your friends list. Easy as pie

btw I love it, but me and SF go way back.

    btw my Gamertag is Brisal73

I got this game looking forward to some nostalgic fun

in the end, I just don't think I can go back to this type of game, it's just too simple to my mind after VF.

there are a lot of nice things about the game, but I hated the Live interface. you can either do a "quick match", which could match you w/ someone who isn't there (takes about 20 seconds to start the process over), or try to get into a "custom match", which only seemed to do the same thing, but you could basically choose from a list based on connection speed. Both of these options seemed to always kick you back out to the menu when finished, so you have to start the whole thing over, I couldn't find a way to play the same person again. Couple this w/ the classic Live problems (can't find a match, people quitting matches/rooms causing 15 second load screens etc), and it was mostly frustration for me.

i think it'd be fun w/ friends, in person

    XBOX LIVE interface breakdown:

Quarter Match:. Don't really like it, You cant see the match that is playing and it takes to long to go from quarter lobby to game play screen. The other problem you cannot see the connection speed before entering a lobby so if someone comes in and there connection sucks then the game that is playing will lag like crazy.

I would stay away from it, but if u have a few friends on your list with a good connection then it could be fun.

Ranked Match... You can see the connection speed, but as akiralove said you cant do a rematch. It does take a while to get a game going if your the one searching, but if you host then you can get a game in 5 seconds. Only problem is you will not know how good your connection will be.

Traditional Vs. Match. My favorite part ... You usually find some good games here. You can rematch and you will get less droppers because there is no ranking involved. Honestly I have only had 2 droppers out the 80 plus matches i played. Lucky I guess

Anyways...if anyone wants to play just send me an invite. I will be going back and forth between Galaga, SF2, and Chromehounds...add Dead Rising after this week.

I dunno about everyone else, but lag has been a giant issue for me. Granted, I dunno if it's because I only have 3MB broadband here or not...but honestly most games have a half second lag between keying in moves and seeing them in action. As far as disconnects go, I've only had a few guys disconnect so far, so that's a blessing I suppose.

Anyway...I guess I've just been playing too much of the Dead Rising demo since it came out to bother much with SF2. Plus my roomate and I typically just play the Capcom Classics Collection versions of SF2 for local play, basically making online play kinda pointless for me since I always have a good player to go against...so I'm not too particularly sure if the game was worth 800 points for me.

My mistake. You can watch matches while waiting in quarter match. You just have to wait for the game in progress to finish

Is this getting released as a game you can buy in shops (physically that is) or is it just a downloadable game from Xbox Live?
