Xbox update April 6th 2010

Thought I`d share the news. Got this from Twitter.

April 6th a system update over Xbox LIVE will allow USB flash drives to be used for storing profiles, game saves, demos & more on your 360.

You can have 2 USB flash drive devices connected to the console at a time, (up to 16GB each) enabling up to 32GB of simultaneous storage.

Sounds good. Means I can transport my VF save without buying a memory card.

Now, if only I had somewhere to transport it to...

Nice ... i was wondering what they were talkin about ... I was like I use USB drives to watch movies on my xbox ALL THE TIME lol

 

about damn time! i'm betting this will be something like people doing hacks on usb with 360,lol

This is a small step in the right direction; but the more important question for me, is why do they let the idiots in their business licensing department make these initial decisions?

Sadly, they are running out of time for me; I need an (April the 6th) update that abandons gold member charging competely to give me a reason to keep this powerful piece of kit.

When I've completed arcade mode with the remaining 11 characters (to get the last VF5c achievement), I'm trading my 360 as a down payment on a slim for the lounge, and going back to VF5b/VF4Evo on the ps3 Fat in the spare room.

(Yes, I'll be keeping the 360 stick & game), but if I'm not getting to play online, then there will be no present VF reason to keep the console; which was why I bought it.

If the next VF ends up as a 360 exclusive, then I'll obviously be straight back on 360; but the clock is definitely ticking mission impossible style.
