Well, I had been a avid tekken player for a LONG time, I liked Tag, but was severely dissapointed in 4. It was also hard to get to the nearest arcade with tekken 4, so I couldn't even play it.

Recently, a old (tekken) friend of mine calls me, and says, "hey, you still like tekken?", "A bit" I replyed. He then told me, stop playing that now. ^_^

He has a import copy of VF4, so I played at his house for a bit, and I'm instantly hooked ^_^ There's also a D&B that's close to me with a REALLY good machines to play on.

Looks like I won't be playing tekken for a long time...lol Well anyway, cool site, I hope to stick around for a bit!

I'm claiming credit on this one, being that I was the friend in question and all.

    *Looks smug*

Ever since the fall of the great dreamcast i had to stick to playing TTT, cuz the older had sold the dreamcast to by a PS2. Now with the soon to be launched VF4 i can enjoy a game on the console i hate most.

Tekken had a panda in it?

Where did they get that idea?

Oh yeah from a game called Fighters Megamix he was called "KUMACHAN" and he was not crap as the Tekken panda

I think Tekken 2 had Kuma, long before Fighter Megamix.

Yep, it was Lemonman who was responsible for this, and I owe him many thanks ^_^

Anyway, I remember fighters megamix being pretty damn cool. I should dig that up. Anyone ply that recently?

FMM is really weak compared to most of AM2's other fighting game efforts, even the original VF2 and FV. If ye want a bit of variety from the VF formula, I suggest Fighting Vipers 2 for DC... I'm in the process of making a VF/FV comparison FAQ myself.

Yep, Kuma was a secret char in Tekken 1, so Kumachan is likely stealing stuff from HIM. Of course, being an avid Kuma player myself, I'm not sure whether to love or hate T4... Kuma is actually competitive, but only because of a glaring error.

"why should you have to give up one?"

Because playing both games equally usually means being half as good at each.
It may even be worse... bad habits form because you unconsciously carry stuff that works in one game into the other.
There's an ancient french saying I've made up:
Il est impossible d'avoir deux passe-temps.
