VF4 Evolution Quest FAQ

This Quest FAQ is for the PS2 version of Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. It details for each Arcade available in Quest Mode, the Quest Orders and Tournament Entry conditions, as well as the rewards.

The way to progress through Quest Mode is to enter each Arcade's tournament and win, where winning means placing in the top 3. After winning a tournament you unlock the next Arcade in the Quest. However, before you can enter the Arcade tournament you must qualify. Qualification entails meeting some requirement while challenging the opponents of that Arcade.

Optionally, you can choose to take on Quest Orders at each Arcade. These are quests that will reward you with either money or an Item. Quest Orders that reward with Items will be marked with a star (*). Only three quest orders are available at any time, so to progress down the list of quest orders you must choose one and complete it.

There are a total of 8 Arcades in Quest mode and for convenience they'll be referred to as Arcade A through H.

A

Sega World West

B

Club Sega Bay Area

C

Sega World South

D

Club Sega Plant Area

E

Sega Arena Midtown

F

Sega Arena Uptown

G

Sega World North

H

Sega World East

Event Square

Apart from the eight Arcades, you can also visit the Event Square at any time to compete in any of the special tournaments or watch any Movies you bought in the Shop. The special tournaments are either available immediately or need to be unlocked by satisfying some condition. The details for each Event Square Tournament are shown in the table below.

After winning each tournament, the ????? option under Versus in the Game Options becomes Battle Mode. This allows you to choose any one of the Battle Modes used for the tournaments above for Versus play.

Kakutou Shinseiki II (World Martial Arts Tournament)

This major 64-man tournament (with lots of famous players involved) is unlocked after winning at the last Arcade. After winning this tournament, footage of various players is shown during the ending credits.
