. SEGA voice (JP)
Before the SEGA logo appears in the rolling game demo, press and hold CIRCLE
button, and you will be able to hear the old "Seeegaaa" voice. Fans of old Sega
games will definitely recognize this.
. Fight stealth Dural (JP)
In Arcade mode, reach Dural's stage within the time limit of [No.of Rounds]x2+2
minutes. In other words, with the default 2 round matches in Arcade mode, reach
Dural's stage within 6 minutes, and you will get to fight a stealth
(transparent) Dural.
. Fight glowing eyes Dural (JP)
In Arcade mode, reach Dural's stage with any character having a number "9" as
the last digit of the total wins (ie. 9, 19, 29... ), and you will get to fight
Dural with purple glowing eyes. However, if the "Fight stealth Dural" conditions
are also met, you will fight stealth Dural instead.
. Different music in Dural's stage (JP)
In Arcade mode, there are 2 different music played in Dural's stage when you
reach it in either less or more than 9 minutes.
. VF1 life gauge (JP)
In Vs. mode, have both players select their VF1 character models. During the
match, instead of the normal life gauge, it will be the one used back in the
first Virtua Fighter game.
. VF2 character select BGM (JP)
In Vs. mode, play with any character having the rank shouhaou (hero).
After the match, during the character select screen, the BGM will change to the
character select BGM from Virtua Fighter 2. This BGM can also be found in the
Sound Test under No.000.
. Old win pose 1 (JP)
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During the replay of a match, press and
hold down P + K buttons.
. Old win pose 2 (JP)
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During the replay of a match, press and
hold down K + G buttons.
. New win poses 1 - 5 (JP)
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During the replay of a match, press and
hold down P + G buttons, or P + G with a direction key, depending on the win
pose. The number of new win poses differ among the characters, and both Brad and
Goh do not have any.
. VF1 character model (JP)
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During the character select screen press
and hold P + K buttons after selecting your character. This works in Arcade and
Vs. modes only.
. VF1 stage (JP)
In Quest mode, purchase from the shop. During the stage select screen in Vs.
mode, move cursor to the top left empty corner to select the VF1 stage. Once
purchased, it will be selectable by anyone.
. Training stage 1 (JP)
In Quest mode, reach the second amusement center, CLUB SEGA BAYAREA, and it will
be unlocked. During the stage select screen in Vs. mode, move cursor either left
or right out of the stage list to select. Once unlocked, it will be selectable
by anyone.
. Training stage 2 (JP)
In Quest mode, reach the third amusement center, SEGA WORLD SOUTH, and it will
be unlocked. During the stage select screen in Vs. mode, move cursor either left
or right out of the stage list to select. Once unlocked, it will be selectable
by anyone.
. Training stage 3 (JP)
In Quest mode, reach the fourth amusement center, CLUB SEGA PLANT AREA, and it
will be unlocked. During the stage select screen in Vs. mode, move cursor either
left or right out of the stage list to select. Once unlocked, it will be
selectable by anyone.
. Training stage 4 (JP)
In Quest mode, reach the fifth amusement center, SEGA AREA MIDTOWN, and it will
be unlocked. During the stage select screen in Vs. mode, move cursor either left
or right out of the stage list to select. Once unlocked, it will be selectable
by anyone.
. Old stages (JP)
In Quest mode, reach the sixth amusement center, SEGA AREA UPTOWN, and they will
be unlocked. During the stage select screen in Vs. mode, press and hold START
button after selecting a stage to play the original Virtua Fighter 4 version of
it. Once unlocked, they will be selectable by anyone.
. Play as Dural (JP)
In Quest mode, reach the sixth amusement center, SEGA AREA UPTOWN, and purchase
from the shop. During the character select screen in Vs. mode, move cursor to
the top left empty corner to select Dural. Once purchased, Dural will be
selectable by anyone.
. Unlock Battle Mode in Options (JP)
In Quest mode, unlock and win all the 14 underground tournaments at the Event
Square with any character. Once done, the ??? will become Battle Mode, and the
settings will only affect the Vs. mode. Below is the list of the 14 underground
tournaments.
