Boston UGS

These are casuals and some tournament play. From the Boston UGS held this past weekend.

For those who were there, correct any mistakes I may make.

Tournament:

Shang (Kage) vs Denkai (Kage) final match in grand finals.

Flash (Wolf) vs Denkai (Jacky) final match in Winners Final

Denkai (Shun) vs Jerky (Jacky)

Casuals:
Denkai (Shun) vs Jerky (Jacky)

Jcha (Lion) vs Denkai (El Blaze)

Jerky (Jacky) vs Denkai (El Blaze)

Jerky (Jacky) vs Denkai (Jacky)

Denkai (Shun) vs Jerky (Jacky)

Denkai (Shun) vs Jcha (Lion)

Denkai (Shun) vs Ironzen (Lion)

 

Kage v. Kage in the finals?! Boooo! Hisss!

Only mistake is the Denkai (shun) vs Jerky (jacky) the fight that took place in akria stage was the tournament now that I can watch I can confirm

 

fun matches to watch, sorry I missed out. It would have been awesome to play Shang again and finally get a chance to battle it out with Jerky for the first time in VF 5.

Just have to say that the kage vs kage match is a perfect example of why people should just play their mains in a VF tournament. No offense to the players, but I almost cried just watching Denkai trying to fake it and Shang trying to understand the fake and struggle to get a rhythem. Would have been much more interesting if Denkai picked Jacky in my opinion. **Please don't take this to heart and as a direct attack guys. Just something I had to get off my chest.**

Good stuff from the rest of the NYC guys. I am proud! It's great to see Jason finally out and about. I hear he has a Station3 now, so I am sure he will be a force to be reckoned with soon.

last but not least I would like to give lots, and lots of props to Flash for always upping his game at every tournament. Good stuff man... keep up the good work!

woulda been much more interesting if i BEAT DENKAI IN THE WINNERS FINAL~!!! >=O that way it woulda been ??? vs wolf! ....cuz u know i have trust in my main =D haha...jk denkai!

your right I did do that. For some reason I just couldn't take that tourney seriously. No offense to the NJ guys, I appreciate all the trouble they went through to organize it, but I just couldn't bring myself to be serious so I was just having some fun. I'll try harder to follow my own advice next time.

No comment on the cheques thing.

My motto is this. If you're good with one character in tourney play then thats good if you are good with two characters in tourney play even better! but your better off being good with one character then aiming for 3..of course I didn't follow my own advice there but blah this is vf5

I'm still stuck in lower/mid rankings during tourneysD: However with the stuff I've learned from Shang and a realization I've come to thanks to Jerky, I'm looking to inch up there during the following tourneys.

BTW: thanks to the Boston crew for the warm welcome and enjoyable matches, you guys are great!
