Careful Numbers, don't take that wrist pain lightly like I did. I still have probs with my wrist from it. Thing is I type, use a mouse and a pen at work so all day long my right wrist gets used. Then when I first started learning on the stick I had heard that the pain from playing on the stick would just go away eventually. No, you HAVE to rest your wrist and wrap it up from time to time. Ice helps a LOT. Do allow your wrist to rest for like a whole day where you don't do anything strenuous at all with it or those symptoms could worsen into carpal tunnel.

    GGs to....

Happy Friend from Happy Land [IMG] No apology needed for doing simple stuff, it was effective and well executed. I like your Jacky, I just started learning him too just cuz he pwns me way too often. I was trying to get you to step up the madness a little though but notice how I stayed away from DMP+K. I did that for you buddy [IMG] I hardly ever use it but VF is more mental than physical and I know what I gotta do if I wanna get in your head [IMG] You're good and I'm sure that you would place well in a tourney... that is until your opponent starts throwing out those random DMP+Ks and starts throwing off your flow [IMG] Seriously though, thanks but my Goh isn't really good. I've got a huge hole in my game with him that I've yet to figure out how to fix. You woulda found it for sure if you were playing Lau. Oh and shame on me for not eteg'ing one single Splash >_<

Dennis, another Jacky player that is so good that he went and picked my own character, Brad and he did my own stuff on me [IMG] Dude, that SUCKED! Plz, don't ever show me what playing against me is like ever again >:-0 Lol, j/k bro, I had a blast.

DBlax, great to see you back bro! You improved my dude [IMG]

Gentleman Thief, yet another Jacky, damn you guys are killing me XD Seriously, awesome games, vids coming soon.

    Legaia, nice Brad [IMG]

    TitanTony, nice Lei [IMG]

AssassinCP, damn gf's don't respect VF-time, do they? Jeez XD

    GGs tony,
Sorry I wasn't able to stay longer when we played. Haha, I tried to go through all Brad's moves but it killed me... I don't even know how to complete all of them during the dojo...
But it's fun for me too to learn a new character like this!!

Yo Tony, believe it or not the DMPKs don't really own me as you might guess by my bitching about it. I have played tons of games against Jons Up, Paper Lion, Darth Minion, DEEThaGEE and several other DMPK lovers and it doesn't really change the outcome of too many matches. Where it is worse is probably vs. Brad And Shun because I really don't know their strings and so I use jabs or throws when I think I have small adv. and get hit with DMPK. Or block it and can't punish b/c of lag.

So hypothetically speaking, in an offline tourney setting, I think DMPK would make little difference. For me to place high would depend how good the other players were, obviously, and what characters the better players used. I doubt that DMPK would really crush me.

I personally don't use the DMPK for the reasons I wrote earlier about I why it is unbalanced online. From my perspective, it seems pretty obvious that that is true; a move that it is intended to be highly punishable is rendered safe online. You can get the reward without the risk. So why would good players who actually understand the system not feel bad about using it, besides just wanting to win?

But obviously I can't control what people do, so, you know, DMPK away.

I think in VF6, when you hit DMPK, a piano should fall out the sky onto your opponent's head.

It's funny you wrote this bc... I've always wondered if you ever felt "bad" about using certain setups with Lau that offline would not work. For example: when [3][K][P](P+K+G) gets blocked your (Kokei)[K] should not beat out my P but it does [IMG] Just pointing out out how there's plenty of other moves that leave you at big disadvantage that you/me everybody still attacks out of online AND a lot of these moves launch and net you more damage than DMP+K. So really, considering that DMP+K doesn't launch (except for Shun's, he can take about 30% or more off of one DMP+K) the only really unfair thing about it is that it evades linear and half circular attacks and just like any other attack will either beat out or clash with throw. It's crap damage really (normal hit +2, CH +6), most players are better off doing just a regular evade and then a launcher or a throw instead. But I'm with you on the whole panic button thing. Me? I throw it out there once in a blue just to mess with you [IMG]

Good games Myke. Yeah the lag sucked but it was still pretty fun. I need to work on those DF+P combos out of stance. I don't even know how you were pulling them off in that lag. I know you missed a lot of them cause of it, but you still managed to get off a lot of them. I can do them in dojo and sometimes in a real match but still need practice. Thanks for the games and sticking around as long as you did. After our first match I was thinking of saving us both the trouble and just quitting since we weren't playing VF but some dumbed down, slow ass version of it, but I decided what the hell, I'll just play. But I really wish the connection was better. I would learn so much from you.

And good games Plague. Thanks for the Akira practice. I still need a lot of it so anytime you want to play, let me know. I feel like I'm not playing Lion like I'm supposed to when I fight you so I got to get into that groove again. Like I'm using the same moves and not being diverse. It'll come back though, I'm sure. I've been away from him for awhile so that might be it.

Don't forget, Lei's sets up a guessing game that could be OP in the absence of the proper risk. El blaze's has some ridiculous throw off of it that can be brutal in laggy games. Wolfs can be a lot of BS too with lag. Just wanted to point out a few others that are kinda cheesy [IMG]

In short it called "The Online Specials"

That what i like to say when things only work online. I don't get mad though because i know its a explioted and the other player know this too.

GG's To Borisofwales. I had fun thanks for the matches. Need to get my timing back and keep coming at me with everything.

Bah, the kicks n stomps don't bother me none bro, it just puts a smile on my face n makes me go "Oh it's like that!?" lol. Only time something like that ever got under my skin a lil is when (happend to be against you hahah) we played x amount of matches and the one n only time you kicked me on the ground during that lil session was the last round right before you left, I was like "No this dude just didn't boot me in the ribs n bounce" LOL , you might not remember it but I do hahah. It was a good long while ago. Honestly though, i'd rather get hit, thrown, juggled or see someone move around than just stand there. I don't trip on stuff like that. It does make me wanna play aggresive but smart at the same time though, but it doesn't get me hot, just focused. It's all good man. I still get worked but hey, I try [IMG]

I think that mid ring fuzzy/fuzzy when not under attack thing you talkin about is me trying to advance n block/fuzzy at the same time. I just wanna see if I can block the mid if/when one gets thrown out there and move foward at the same time cause I know a lot of cats wait and attack when i'm rushing in since I can't really advance with a string or lunging move, besides the ff+P+K,P. And when I do the foward dash to evade n people start getting hip to it n busting out circulars is when I resort to that. Or sometimes I do it just to do it. Just a practice method turned into a habit I guess. I'll keep that in mind though man, thanks.

Gg's to some dude named wayy2nice4u or something like that. Dude did work on me with Lau, reality check for me for sure. Crazy good at spacing and knowing when to attack and what to attack with. I gotta study Lau more, was getting nailed with mad half circulars. Don't know which way to evade [IMG] lol, and just plain ol gettin worked. If you see this dude, play him. Something tells me this dude has been playing VF for a while, and I don't mean just VF5. Glad he played me for a while, was frustrating but good.

Speaking of reality check, Ayufanboy, man, nasty Akira dude. It was pretty laggy for me (you must be deeper in Canada than Kamais lol, I get pretty good connect with him, on my side anyways.) maybe next time it'll be better, but it was still crazy fun, sick ETEG skills along with everthing else man.

VFhayato, Bananna Pai! lol, that's the first thing that popped in my head when I saw her. Think it was my first time ever playing ya, was lots of fun man you had some nice set ups, I didn't know wtf to do sometimes.

QueenofCarnage, sick session man, awesome Akira, nuff said lol. That Vane was friggin nasty too. I could tell you're learning Wulf, if you ever wanna throw him out in the battle field lookin to get some battle exp. with him [IMG] at me man. I kinda wanna learn Jacky I think, so maybe I can go up against your Vane or Akira, or whoever sometime if you don't mond dealing with the noob stuff. Gotta throw em in the fire n learn how to deal with the heat. Hope the connect smoothed out for you eventually, was pretty good on my end, but I know it can be different for the other player.

GG's to anyone else I forgot.

Shit man I dislike typing all this shit sometimes lol, cool to be able to yap about the matches a lil and what not though. [IMG] at me whenever for some matches yall.

Haha, I played Ayufanboy yesterday as well and the lag bugged the hell out of me so much I had to send a message saying enough! We're both in Canada and while that doesn't = great connection I was still surprised. a real shame to because I was enjoying playing his Jeff.
