Denkai, thanks for the tip but the disadvantage is only -1 which means I can't really deter or threaten him with much other than a P or 2P. But what this match doesn't show you is that he was conditioning me in previous matches with 6PP into various followups, especially Kokei, many of which could beat my "safe" P or 2P.

Spotting Kokei entry from 6PP is challenging enough, and with lag only harder. So I was really just guessing there by evading to the stomach a couple of times he threw it out to avoid Kokei sweep, flipkick and 9P. Still, that was a pretty risky guess from him that I'd evade because had I ducked or guarded, then it would have cost him the match. Kudos to him!

I saved this one for the wall combo after the clinch. It reminds me of the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif wall combos in VF5R, so that's about as close as I can get to playing R!

Example of OM conditioning. In the first round I OM to his back after a throw escape to get an OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif during recovery for a back crumple. Later in the match, after creating a side turn situation, I use OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and then OM throw mixup to eventually win.

A bit of a comeback in this one after stupidly not winning the first round, then getting easily baited for RO in the second. The two BT Elbows in the face in the last round were a bit rude in retrospect /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

My good friend Nin was in town recently and amongst all the catching up, we managed to get a couple of good VF sessions in. During one of those sessions we decided to have a FT10 challenge! Hope you enjoy, and mind the rust!

When you watch it on youtube, the 720p resolution should be available. I uploaded the original in 1280x720 mp4 format as well.

 

Presentation and resolution is great! I wonder if there is a small loss of quality when uploaded to youtube (watching at the 720p setting). I test uploaded a vid recently using the same device on youtube and compared it to the original recording on my desktop - there does appear to be a small loss of quality. It appears brighter in the original recording. Not sure why though (maybe due to how large videos are streamed online?). The quality is still very good for people with higher end connection.

Myke, what is that transition called (with the page turning over) and are you using premiere?

 

akai, I used Windows Live Movie Maker (free) on Windows 7 for this since I didn't really need anything fancy other than some caption overlays and scene transitions. It has quite a few neat looking transition effects out of the box, the page flip being one of them.
